Title: historical stats

tripleprince - March 10, 2008 11:17 AM (GMT)
i've been working recently on incorporating recent years stats into the vast archives i have going back into the last century.

'all-time individual catagory leaders' has been online for a while now, and i've now added 'all-time passing'.

both are available on the main web site - click on the STATISTICS tab and follow the link to 'past statistics'

Pinkest Pants.

i believe that honour goes to kjell 'pinky' pinkerssen, an icelandic student who played for the cats back in '88.

not only were his pants a shade of light red, but he added a glittery trim with the word 'pinky' down the side of each leg.

his naturally very blond hair and goatee beard were dyed pink to complete the look.

built like a brick shithouse he was too.

DD - March 18, 2008 07:22 PM (GMT)
wow, did he really out-pink stu???

I think worst one game/season QB rating will be a nice stat to put in bold......I wonder who will win that award?!?

tripleprince - March 19, 2008 02:05 PM (GMT)
now uploaded:

all-time receiving
all-time interceptions

link as before

Ca$e - March 19, 2008 10:06 PM (GMT)
Interesting reading, seems the club has only ever had 2 guys go over 1k receiving, there's a yardstick right there!
Seems tho the interception charts suddenly become receiving charts halfway down according to the titles....

all-time kicking (fg and pat) now online

Ca$e - March 21, 2008 02:16 PM (GMT)
...and on that note I have some goals for the season (presuming maintain kicking duties):

I want to become the first Cat to achieve 100 kicking points. As we all know, fg stands for "failure goals" as we want to be scoring TDs (esp with a kicker who barely makes 1 in 3 fgs!), so I need to score 43 points converting TDs. Whilst I maintain I will always strive to improve my consistency, which I'll be the first to say is unsatisfactory (assuming thats the word!), given my career average of 63% means that I would need 68 attempts to achieve this.

So hows about it offence? U up to the challenge of scoring 70 TDs in 08???

as for the 59 yd field goal, well mebe if we get a hurricane pointing directly at teh goal!!!

Id put goals about reducing the number of KOs out of bounds etc, but I don't plan for us to be kicking off more than 13 times this year....

umm... you sure about that?

you're saying you don't think the cats will score more than three times all year?

Ca$e - March 21, 2008 05:29 PM (GMT)
hahahaha, what a tw@t I am! You knpow I was just watching rugby tut league (saints wigan) when I posted that, got myself all confused as the rugby format makes no sense to me, why would u get the ball back after scoring!!!!!
Yes Mr W, I am a chump-o-leeny!

amend that then, if we're to get 70 TDs then I guess my goals are:
10 touchbacks
30 x 60+ yards
average over 50yards (soooo close last year!)
no more than 5 OOB pens (gotta get some if trying for the 40+yd onside kicks :P )

Harrier 13 - March 21, 2008 06:47 PM (GMT)
And a kicker is only as good as his long-snapper and holder - we will be doing our upmost to get that % up as high as possible and to get you the 100 points during the 2008 season.

I think that it's a positive thing to have targets and goals for each season - I don't blame people to not airing them (on either our team forum or the public one) but if there is anything I can do to help, you only have to let me know.

Ca$e - March 22, 2008 03:27 AM (GMT)
yea well uf u can throw the ball over the posts whilst making it look like I kicked it.....
shpuldn;t be too hard from the half-kneel side on position of terror!!!!!
