Title: new forums

tripleprince - July 24, 2007 12:19 AM (GMT)
there are now four forums on here.

if you're not logged in or are a guest only three should be visible. this is normal.

once you log in, if one or more of the public forums disappears, please let me know. it means i've screwed up somewhere.

if you are a player, coach or staff member on the current cats team, the fourth forum will become visible when you log in. if it does not, then i have not yet added your name to the 'allowed' list.

i am in the process of adding team members names to the allowed list. contact me to hurry the process along if you feel you may be missing out on something.

Hi there,
another newbie to the fold.
I can't see the members forums yet but I'm guessing it might cos I registered on the site at work using my work email address rather than the home one I gave coach.

Could you take a look please?

Thanks

Damien

AllyCat - December 3, 2007 11:18 AM (GMT)
hey i'm the same as Damien, registered but cant see all the forums, be grateful if someone could take a look,

Ally

'Allycat' I like what you did there.

What happens is you register and then once Coach B has confirmed to Chris (our internet guy) that you are a Cat then he will give you access to the Team Only Forum.

I'm sure that both of you will have your access upgraded shortly as you are clearly going to be a part of the Cats this season.

So do we all have to have big cats nicknames !!

go simba !!

AlexM - December 3, 2007 04:56 PM (GMT)
Can I get in on the team only forum as well??
Just to let you guys know that I've shifted my holiday in March so that I come back into Cambridge first thing on the 14th March so I'll be free for some high impact, gut slogging training that evening + the weekend! Dedication........

Great stuff! - I'm sure Coach B will be pleased to hear it... At least at camp you can throw linemen at me instead of Coach :D

Just give it a day or two and i'm sure you will be allowed access to the Team Forum.

Enjoy training next sunday - I'm off boozing in Krakow.... Dedication???

hey guys, im 19 and im lookin for a team to train with this coming season! can anyone give me any info on how to join your team, i tried to call the coach but nobody seems to pick the phone! plz someone give me some info, thank you! btw i gotta say you guys have an impressive site, take care, i shall log back on later on in the day

Harrier 13 - February 28, 2008 03:27 PM (GMT)
Wayne,

We train at Coldhams Common every Sunday from 11.30 - you would be more than welcome to come along and have a run around with us.

If you leave a message for Coach B i'm sure he will get back to you, but I know that he is manic at work this week (US Forces) so give him a couple of days to get back to you.

What experience do you have playing football? and do you have any of your own kit. The club has some spare stuff so it's no stress if you don't.

Get yourself down to Coldhams this Sunday and we can tell you all about our pre-season programme and you can decide if you want to get involved.

See you Sunday

Wayne - February 28, 2008 06:51 PM (GMT)
hey thanx 4 the reply, i have no experience in playing the game though i seem to have mastered the sport in theory! ive always wanted to play but have been putting it off, so as i might be goin uni soon i figured now is the best place to start as i aim to play in the university league! do you guys have training camp? and no i havent got my kit yet, i was hoping you guys would have some info on where to purchase the pads, etc

Get yourselve down to Coldhams this Sunday and we can give you all the details of camp and the like.

The game can be very different from the theory - but having a grasp of the rules and principles will put you in good sted.

Also we have loads of rookies this year, so you will be by no means the only new guy to the sport...but I warn you that our rookies are picking the game up really quickly and are already very good players!

Get involved.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?utm_campaign...rm=google%20map

Hopefully this link will show the map from google - which is you look where station road is can get to COLDHAMS LANE which has a footbridge to get to the pitch. I think it's about a 20min walk

Failing that it's about £4/5 taxi.

Or if you Contact Coach B, give him your number and we might have someone coming from that way to give you a lift?

see you there

tripleprince - February 29, 2008 02:32 PM (GMT)
click me

interestingly, if you zoom in on our pitch using the satellite imagery, you can see a (phantoms?) game in progress.

Ca$e - February 29, 2008 06:21 PM (GMT)
Im pretty sure thats the Diana Tallon memorial game between a Fen Harriers side and Leicester Eagles, given the numbers, colours, old goalposts, sunlight, pitch markings etc etc
