A city firefighter pleaded guilty on Wednesday to running a large-scale pot factory in the basement of a "grow house" in Queens.
Matthew Cody, 28, faces up to two years in prison when he's sentenced in January by Federal Judge John Gleeson.
Cody's brother, Michael, 26, a city sanitation worker, also pleaded guilty Wednesday in Brooklyn Federal Court to possession of marijuana. He faces up to six months in prison.
Matthew Cody owned the house on 237th St. in Queens Village where cops found more than 100 high-quality marijuana plants :smoke: with a street value of more than $500,000.
A second firefighter connected to the operation, Patrick Murray, turned down a plea offer and is scheduled for a December trial. Matthew Cody, who faces automatic dismissal from the FDNY, and Murray both were assigned to Engine 292 at the time of their arrests earlier this year
