While many of us have been in the hobby a long time. I thought I should try and post some basic DIY projects and ideas for newcomers.



Clean and rinse a two liter bottle. Cut top off ready to invert. Bait the trap (Shrimp typically) fastened to a small chunk of live rock. Secure top to bottom with plastic pull ties. Attach fishing line to top edge to allow the trap to be tipped up and removed.

This style of trap has been used for years to capture all kinds of critters from fish to shrimp and everything else in between.
