Hello,
My name is Scott and I am very interested in starting a SW aquarium. I have already read THE NEW MARINE AQUARIUM and am looking forward to purchase a tank once I move in a few months. I have become addicted to this hobby and haven't even bought a tank yet let alone a single fish. I spend entirely too much time on SWF.Com reading the forum and get a lot of great advice. I am interested to see the "behind the scenes" of having a SW tank. I would love to come observe and help with normal maintenance like water changes, parameter readings and other things of that nature. If your interested in helping an eager to learn beginner let me know or e-mail me at SWCampbell22@gmail.com
Thanks
Welcome Scott, I think you are on the right track. I am sure someone will take you up on your offer. I hope you can make the next OMAS meeting on the 17th.
http://www.omas.org/feb17th_meeting_location.htmI have a friends coming in and won't be attending but I can tell you that you will enjoy it and meet lots of great people.
Where do you live now and where are you moving to in a few months. Will your interests be on fish only or corals to?
John
Hi Scott,
Thanks for your interest. I will send you an email with directions to the home of Mike McKinney. OMAS's February 2007 meeting will be held at his house this Saturday (2/17/07) at 7 pm. Hope you can come ! It is a great group, and you will find many there who love to talk and teach about fish & coral.
hope to see you saturday.
Sincerely,
George Davenport
2007 OMAS President
I currently live in an upstairs apartment at 81st and Yale, currently looking for a new place once our lease is up. I'm not sure where we will be moving but it will be somewhere in the Tulsa area. I am interested in setting up a FOWLR tank looking at getting one about 80 gallons. Figured that would weight too much for an upstairs plus don't really want to move that either so I'll be patient and wait.
