My pink milli has never been too big on polyp extension, and at best has a little fuzz once in a while, until after lights out and then it gets pretty fuzzy quickly. Yesterday though I was looking in the tank and noticed that the polyp extension was more than usual, and was wondering if it could be a temperature difference that may have triggered it to have better extension. The temp in my tank has been between 76 and 78, usually not over 79 all winter. Since the temps have been up lately, when I got home on Thursday the tank was up to 82, and by Friday when I saw the better extension it was still 80. Today the tank is still 79 and the extension is still doing a bit better than usual. Nothing really dramatic, just better than the average. Does anyone know if millipora like a warmer temp to get better polyp extension? What temps to folks have when their milli's are nice and fuzzy?
The only other thing I've been doing different is I've been dosing some of the new Seachem "Fuel" amino supplements, but I don't know if that's actually been helping as well or not. Just started about a week or two ago, and haven't really been doing that much of it, so it's hard to know what may be the cause.
