Title: "Redecorating" the tank

kittyj - January 24, 2008 03:27 AM (GMT)
I've been rather bored with nothing to study for and no coral to care for, so I decided to "pretty up" my tank. I've never been crazy about it, because it's a very plain black aquarium. Pics are below - sorry for the lousy quality and obnoxious flash

Your tank looks really nice, That's alot of rock. What direction are you going to take with corals? Zoa's,Softies, LPS, and or SPS.

I went from a 150 down to a 105, so I have tons of rock. Around 250 lbs. I'm going SPS and Zoas only. Everything in the tank is going to have to play nice together this time around.

The tank and stand are looking good. With the amount of rock you have, you shouldn't have a tough time finding nice high spots in the tank for those sps.

Wanna trade tanks? What pump are you using for your return and what size are the power heads 4?Also have you looked into the deflectors for them?

Recently went from a Mag12 to a Mag 5 for the return. I have three Koralia3 and two Koralia2, although I took the twos out recently to put in the quarantine tanks.

I have deflectors for all of the 3s, but I don't use them

Just curious as to why you went with the smaller return pump?If your planning sps I would have as much flow as possible. Were you getting to much flow threw your sump or was it a noise issue?
