What a week!!!! Anyone else miserable?
We were very fortunate not to lose power at the shop. We did lose internet…obviously back up now. We just received our allotment of battery powered air pumps for those still in need.

Things to do now with your tank –
Temp dropped – luckily so does the metabolism of your livestock. Oxygen demand is lessened. Once power is restored you will need to monitor ammonia and nitrite. Your biological filter was probably stunted and the tank may go through a “mini cycle”. Be prepared to do a few water changes over the next couple of weeks. Feed less!!!!!!! Add a garlic supplement, vitamin supplement, and Metronidazole to the food prior to feeding. Due to the temperature fluctuations your fish may develop ick or other parasitic infections.

If you think your power will be out long term….please call us. We have some room in our fish systems for an extended sleep over for your fish. Our coral system is packed…..no room for any additional corals – Sorry!
