Unfortunately missed your visit and the meeting on food, but I was able to read your article on wetwebmedia "Feeding a Reef Tank: A Progressive Food Recipe". I noticed you mentioned salmon as a "human food", and didn't use it in your recipe. I curious about this, as salmon, at least the wild caught salmon I have is definitely a marine fish, and extremely rich in HUFA as well as other good fats. I'm fortunate enough to have a good supply of wild caught Alaskan King Salmon, and tonight when we were getting some ready to eat, I decided to scrape some of the fatty layer off the skin, chop it up really fine, and feed it as a treat to some of my fish. I have an old clown fish (14+) that's a real picky eater, and he was going crazy for this stuff. It's oily enough it will put a small oil slick on the water when you drop it in. Why do you see salmon as not a good ingredient for home made food? Are you concerned about the farm raised salmon not having good food value?

Sorry for the delay, I couldn't post a reply.
Salmon is fine. Especially wild caught as you mentioned. Farm raised foods just seem like a good idea to avoid, but wild caught would be fine. Same goes for tuna fish and cod. In our recent food mixes we've used salmon, tuna, cod, halibut, and whatever else.
And yes, those oils are best!
