Title: OMAS May 07 Meeting -- Home Food Preparation
jprince58 - April 28, 2007 09:05 PM (GMT)
I know it's a little early for this, but I just gotta ask to see how many OMAS members plan to attend this meeting. Our guest speaker will be Adam Blundell, past president of the Wasatch Marine Aquarium Society, Marine Biologist and research scientist in Marine Ecology and Pathology for the University of Utah.
Ok, so why am I asking? Our meeting attendance has been steadily increasing and it's becoming exceedingly evident that we may need to start finding locations to hold our meetings somewhere other than in our member's homes. This meeting is currently scheduled to be at my house and I'm afraid we might not be able to handle the crowd.
If you plan to attend, please either reply to this post or send me a PM with your name (not just your forum handle) and the number of people who will be accompanying you. The sooner I have a rough estimate of the attendance, the sooner we can make a decision regarding meeting location.
More information about the meeting topic and guest speaker will be forthcoming.
The first 10 members to respond will win a genuine, certified drop of water from our last water change. Don't wait...operators are standing by!!!

Do you have to be a paid member to come? I'm in McAlester, but I'm interested in becoming a member! Can we bring kids? I have a two year old little boy, but he behaves most of the time. I'd like to say I'll be there but I need some details first, like what day, what time, etc. Thanks!

I'm also planning on coming, unless something comes up! I would like to meet all of you and get my membership. I will be bringing my son also. Will there be frags to trade? If so, I have some zoas I need to thin out. Well, they are some type of zoas but I'm not sure what, they are pretty big for zoas. They are about dime-nickel size! Anyways, let me know if I should bring them or anything else!

Okay, I won't be able to make it. Sorry, I didn't realize my little sisters high school graduation is that night! I'm bummed! I was really looking forward to coming to a meeting! I will try to make it to the next one. Thanks, Kindra

Hi 1stseaking, joining OMAS is probably one of the easiest things you'll ever do. Just get with one of us (one of the officers is your best bet) with your email address and they'll get you started on our email list. The actual address, etc., for the meetings will come to you that way. Then, just show up, sign up and have fun. Nothing more to it. I'll send you a PM with additional details on the next meeting.

Sorry, but I am now going to be out of town on the weekend, have a nephew in from Japan and I haven't seen him in awhile. Hate to miss this meeting, but unavoidable this time.....Tracy
