Yeah, as if the neighbors don't think we're nuts enough after all of Jim's experiments outside!

What has he done that is making the neighbors kooky?
I get stares every year when I set my tree stand up in my front yard and practice climbing up to it.

Hmm... well, he built an 8-foot tall "bigfoot" partial silhouette and photographed it from varying distances (including from the yard across the road), with several different color eyes about 2 1/2 inches in diameter to demonstrate that a person can NOT determine a bigfoot's eye color from a hundred yards away, as someone claimed.
He placed the same model bigfoot in the front yard and photographed it from several different aspects in a height-estimation exercise he conducted on BFD.
He traipsed about in our vegetable garden with carved-out wooden feet nailed to sandals on his feet and then casted the results to see if the woodgrain caused any "dermal ridges" (it did).
Several times last winter he went out in the snow barefoot and measured his prints each day to demonstrate the effects of time and temperature on the prints.
He measured the width of our road, our driveway, and the two combined, and measured his own stride and how many steps it took for him to cover the distance. This had something to do with the "photographing from a car" exercise, which I believe is on SRI.
Seems like there's another one, but I can't remember!

OK, your neighbors are a little more scared than mine...
Do they let their kids trick or treat at your house? or is your's the house their Mom makes them skip?
