I just finished converting a commander for my desert army and wanted him to look like he was in Artificer armour and not just out of the package.
I also wanted him to look veteran and beat up a little older and a littel worse for wear.
Not an all gold suit of armour because I didn't wnat him to look like he just walked out of the Armour shop.

Also the army will help you understand the helmet choice on the Commander.
