My favourite are Eldar, I just like the special physic abilities they get.

Oh well it shows you are human. I have an opinion and i dont mean to be disrespectable so dont take this the wrong way.

I really like an army for the background not just the army. I think of eldar as cruel and would rather see 10000000000 space marines die for their cause rather than sacrifice 10 of their own.

My favourite army and this is not for their abilities on the feild of battle but i just love the concept of steel legions. The army just appealed to me from the word go <_<

Also another rant :rolleyes: i hate and dislike playing any armies that incorporate deamons. I just dislike them and feel its not chaos just filth and its just a waste.

But not shure with Sisters the new rules and all yet to see how much they have changed.

I dont have or play really any Chaos.
I dont get into demons at all.
I have Night Lords a few about 500pts and its only becuase of there fluff and they do have the most purist gene seed and fluff would dictate that they would never take demons because they are Chaos Undivided.
So I choose them just so I could try a chaos army and game.

I like the pure and noble type guys.
I wish there was a King Arthur type marine army.
Theres close but not close enough.
Honor before all else type army.
With suits of armor that may even resemble Knightly armor?
And swords worn by almost all of them.
They GreyKnights almost have the look. I love the helmets and overall the terminators rock! but not the fluff.

Hi mate. Im happy to see that you didnt flame the original thread starter or snipe like everyone else.

I love the salamanders because i love the big gunz. I just cant play that style as im into heavy close combat and with initiative 3 the salamanders arent the best to have in combat. They do offer the advantage of storm of destruction and cool wargear for squad leaders.

I like their scheme too. I play 2 fast armies the White Scars W 15- L 0 and black templars W 4- L 0 (im not bragging By the way)

I have to say that Salamanders actually fit me pretty well.
Dont know why just do.
Kinda like what I did in the Army for real in Desert Storm I guess?
Anyways. Plus I like the cool color and playing them.

I had one of the worst hth armies there was back in the day.
In rogue trader I had Blood Angels. Very mean and nasty back in the day.

But when I got back into 40k in the 3rd "addiction" I really liked the rules and fluff and look of the Salamanders.

So one of my favorites.

Oh and last year I did a Templars army and dont have much of it left over.
But I like them alot.
pretty easy to paint and fun to do.
Also cool to keep adding bits and awards to and adding to them.
Very cool.

Well, a few people have said their fav armies but not why they are their fav.

Lets see...

Mine would be a contest between Orks, Guard, Nids, White Scars, Iron Warriors, Grey Knights and Deathwatch.

Orks are mean, hard and stupid....

Guard are valient, hard and stupid...

Nids are mean, hard and stupid...

White Scars are fast, hard and er...hard...

Iron Warriors are cool looking, hard and shooty...

Grey Knights are valient, cool looking and hard...

Deathwatch are cool looking, hard and oooh so cool

:ph43r: my fave armywould probably be white scars although ive never played with them (all ive played with are a few grey nights and i didnt do much in that battle) but they seem good and they have lots of bikes also they are very quick and when painted right the coulor scheme looks very cool :D

My white scras were living legends (not really living) and wiped out all before them. My white scars werent very white scary though because i had way too many troops and tto few bikes.

1. dont undercoat black
2. white and red are the two hardest colours to paint
3. use inks a lot so you a finsih not a flat scheme like you usually would on such a large surface.

Well, the tactics arn't that great (CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!!!!!!!!!) but you can use the Lictors and Carnifexes effectivley and really scare the hell out of your opponent. :ph43r:

The only bad thing about nids is that my dark reapers and my laz cannons rip through them. ( I collect eldar and dark eldar)

Well my dark eldar have laz cannons, 5 of them, they are special weapons and cost extra points.

um...Dark Eldar cant get laz cannons...

Because they are not the same. Not even near.

For one thing they bring all enemy vehicles armour down to a maximum of 12. A lascannon cant do that, sadly...
