ok when you are in close combat, does having a power weapon count as having an extra attack or is the amount on profile all power weapons? also do you count extra attack for holdng eg: a bolter and a bolt pistol.

Because in most instances, Emperors champion Akeris will get up to 6 attacks for each normal marine.

1 attack from profile
1 attack for holding a bolter
1 attack for having a bolt pistol strapped to the marines leg
1attack for the charge
and if using a power weapon he will use another seperate attack for a power weapon???

You only get an extra attack for holding 2 weapons, charging and terminator honours.
You dont get an extra attack for holster weapons nor do you gain an attack for power weapons, it just preplaces the attack with a ccw.

to clarify-
The only model in my army that gets 6 attacks is my chaplin 4 profile, 1 for bolt pistol and 1 for charging.

my assault squad
10 marines 2 attacks per marine with bolt pistol and ccw + 1 for charging = 24 attacks (2X8+8)

3 power fist attacks if charging 2 if not
3 power weapon attacks if charging 2 if not

thats only a grand total of 30 attacks at 3 per model.

Lets see, you get +1 attack for charging and +1 attack for Two Weapons.

There are various things like Terminator Honours or special abilities that also convey extra attacks.

A basic maine has a total of 2 attacks when charging. 1 on his profile and 1 for charging. Some marines have a bolt pistol and CCW in which case they get 3 attacks.

Power weapons, force weapons, power fist/claws, Thunder Hammers, and Witchblades all count as CCW and so if there are two of them, or one of them and a pistol then you get the +1 attack for Two Weapons as well.

Akeris' example with his chaplain is wrong. Chaplains have 3 attacks on their profile. Then they add Terminator Honours, making 4 attacks. They then get an extra attack if they have a pistol and ccw, and a further attack if they charge. While that is still a total of 6 attacks it was originally worked out wrong.

Silas under the old rules the chaplin has 4 attacks on profile + bolt pistol + honours whilst carrying the crozius arcanum in the other hand. That granted him 4 + 2 attacks without charging.

I also understand that they now have only 3 attacks.
