First of all, here's the index;

1; Punctuation, grammer and spelling

2; Thought, speech and actions

3; What do you want your Character to be like?

4; Your Character

PUNCTUATION, GRAMMER AND SPELLING

These are some of the most important things in a Role Play, you should spend enough time to make sure that your post makes sence, and all words are spelt correctly, or as near as you can get them. Commas, full stops, apastrophs (SP?) and semi colons are all needed once in a while.
Here's a few examples;

Gyth looked at Mylon; nothing showed in his merciless, cold, pale blue eyes.
That uses the essence of a semi colon, commas, and a full stop.

"Mayre's gone mad sir!" Shouted Tirilin over the field. "He's going to London, with a tank!" Tirilin's face was one of utmost horror. London's walls wouldn't withstand a tank!
That uses the essence of an apastroph (SP?), full stop, and speech marks (see Chapter two).

When thinking of what you want to say, do, or anything, put punctuation, grammer and spelling and then read it, correct it if anything's wrong, and then make sure *you* can understand it.

SPEECH, ACTIONS AND THOUGHT

When your Character speaks, we use speech marks, now speech marks can be used two ways, one way is the ", the other is the apastroph (SP?), or '.
Thought can also have a powerful force on the Role Play, if someone thinks of a good idea, like this;
"My idea is that we do X and then we can procceed to Y and Z with A, B and C."
Where, exactly, did this idea come from? You know what your Character thinks, but no one else does, you can post thought, but when doing so make sure it stands out from speech, actions and other things.

Actions are important, almost the most important thin, actually. If you do an action, try going into as much detail as possible, for example;
Tem punched the spider, ran to another and kicked that one.
It simply does not work, that can be turned into;
Tem punch the spider, in screeched in pain as she circled past it towards the second. With a spectacular spinning kick her leg impacted with it's head.

See the difference? Which gives more impact, and which sounds better?

The latter of course.

WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER LIKE?

This section is brief and short compaired to the others, but has just as much impact on the Role Play as actions, thought, et cetera.
In short, describe briefly, what your Character is like;

Trent, a smuggler for the Republic, his attitude is arrogent like, his blond hair makes him feel smug, and noble like.

This can also be added into the History and Appearance sections of your Characters.

YOUR CHARACTER

Do not forget the most important part, your Character.
There's Grug the barbarian warrior, he's always used a sword before, so don't make his wield an axe just because you get tired of typing "blade," "sword," and so on, if your Character is smart, make him act and think smart, if he's a nut, make him act like a screw ball.
Here's an example of a Character;

Name: Drake Everslayer
Age: 567
Sex: Male
Race: Dark Elf
Rank: Leader of the Glar'Nar-Touth
Class: Fighter-Shade

Equipment; two long bladed sabres, each engraved with names in the language of the Glar'Nar-Touth, a light chainmail shirt covers his chest and forearms, over that he wears a long dark travelling cloak, so muddy it's impossible to tell it's original colour.

Appearance: Wearing black leather breechs, tunic and boots, Drake is a fighter of the night, his grey eyes and white hair stand out against this, and his pale skin is another contrast.

History: Drake Everslayer, one of three, the Dark Elf Fighter, is the leader of the Exiled Druchii Army named the Glar'Nar-Touth. He often fights more barbaricly than skillfully, this may be because he was possessed by a Bloodthirster of Khorne at one stage of his life, during his first Exile he was also a servant of Slaanesh for some time.
And those who thinkk of attacking him have been killed, his eyes grow fiery when he's angered, and his pride is nothing compaired to his broken sence of honour.

See what I mean? Making a Character is a hard and dubious task, but in the end is really rewarding.

I end this tactics on Role Playing, guys, I hope it helps you out.
