If you recieve any links or files from people you dont expect them from. Do NOT click the link or accept the file unless you trust what the file is. There is a few viruses out that when ever the link is clicked the virus attacks your computer and the link is sent to everyone in your contact list. So keep an eye out for any suspect files or links.

Don't open any pop ups either, a lot are viruses thats how my old comp died. It would freeze and I would click the page as a pop up appeared.

yeah adding to that, some pop ups that come up when your on a website they have the fake close icons on them and even though you click on it to close it you still actually click on the advertisement and therefore you get a virus or whatever.

so i advise if that ever happens to you, either close or refresh the whole webpage

Is it a coincidence or something more?

I think its because the people making the viruses use those names to attract people to open them. It was pretty suspicious when i recieved a few from girls thats why i didnt even think of opening them. :)

haha yeh that is akinda a coincidence :lol: yeah that happened with me, I first started gettin them off alex and i was lyk nah, and then my friend megan started sendin them so i thought they were a bit sus then

well when people go on porn sites and register their email, its gets sold to heaps of other porn companies and you get lots of emails. My bro did it to my dad. He registered my dads email to get back at him and my dad got like 50 porn emails that were loaded with viruses, every day.
