I don't really think of Halo 2 as an improvement I think of it as more of a change, sort of like a download for Halo 1. Sure they added lots of stuff for halo 2 and made it easier to pick your weapons for games but they don't have the assault rifle. They replaced it with the smg and the battle rifle I think thats stupid. Anything else anybody would like to add?

i think halo 1 is more exciting, sure in halo 2, there is more weapons and more extras, but it get very boring, the MC in halo 2 is too...too elite

Ive always thought this too, I never really liked Halo 2 graphics or gameplay it just seemed different from Halo 1.

well i think thats what they are trying to do, make it completely different from the first one, but i get what you mean, it has to have some similarities with the first one.

and the other thing about halo2 is that you have a set way to go. you don't have choices on which way to go.

on halo 1 it was like that but you had more space to move around

Most of the time sequels are worse even when they're statiscally better. Halo 2 has better graphics, more weapons, and more vehicles but I agree, it didn't have the feel to it that made Halo such a good game. Plus how can they take away the beloved assault rifle? :blink:

halo 1 was definetly a better game than number two because the gameplay was alot more adictive bcause the levels were smaller than number 2 which meant better warfare, the assult rifle was twice as good than the smg. and the battle rifle is just a piece of s**t. the number 1 damage system was alot better. and the weapons in number 2 take so long to respawn at there point

Halo 1 took more skill to beat people but the new weapons and things are good. And it was also cool that you can use the alien vehicles. But in number 2 some of the levels are cooler and its a funner online game.

both games have their advantages and their disadvantages, but i personally think that halo 1 was the better game,

im not going to repeat what you have already said, all the reasons you have stated are true, halo 2 maps are too big, halo 1 is more addictive.

im not too sure about the online part, because i have only played halo 2 online so im not sure about that one

because you could only play halo 1 online with the pc it is hard to say whether the online could be better because if number was live then there would have been more features than just on internet.

yeah thats probably why they brought it out, so they could put it on live. i kinda hope they don't bring out a halo 3

well there is word thta halo 3 is coming out....dont lie guys i know use love halo 2! the only disapointment was they said all the fighting was going to be on earth errrrr i was so upset when there was another halo but in halo 3 its said to totally be on earth.

the storyline was good in number one was great, but then in number 2 u do the same things pretty much and it took all the fun out of finishing halo 1 over and over again on legendary or wateva u halo fans used to love doing

both halos were great! but halo 2 didnt meet my expectations, i thought it would be better...different

well if halo2 came out bfore halo1 than we would probably be having this same conversation exept defending halo2

i don't like playing online, probably because i always die every 20 seconds :lol: but i prefer to play campaign

Halo 1 Campaign was pretty ultimate. I couldn't stop playing it.

Whenever I play online I constantly get slaughtered as my teamates look on and say "ha noob" <_<
So for me its sorta not that fun
I'm fine with link play

But I'm going to have to go against you all here, I prefer Halo II, reasons why;
Duel Wielding, having a Plasma Pistol and Small Machine Gun hurts.
Double Small Machine Guns hurt as well, have two, you have your so loved Assault Rifle again, only when one runs out of ammo, the other fires, continual fire, see?
Battle Rifle, finally a machine gun with a scope.
Assault Rifle, annoying thing, 60 shot reload and it was never able to pin anyone down with the help of a grenade.
Plasma Rifles were never good on their own, sure they did damage and slowed the enemy down, but that's about it, in the new one, two of these babies.... :wub:
Wraith is cool, so is the Spectre, but I've never been able to get that, my brothers and friends always get it first.
Rocket Launcher now does damage, I mean damage, taking out three people on Juggernaught is cool, fun, and most of all, AWESOME!
Plasma Blade, assault the enemy, going through cover, pull this out right and there's a dead Daemon(What the Covenant call the Spartan's, in other words, Master Chief, A.K.A., John)/Elite infront of you.
Better Graphics.
Better game system overall
If you get hit once you're shield's down, you're dead! If you get hit by a bullet in the head, would you live? And before you say that it's because he's a hero and a super human, you're wrong, anyone hit by a bullet to the head will die. Except for chickens.....


Halo I.
Snipers were better, but I was never much of a sniper person anyway. So that's nothing to me.
Better colours, but that's beside the point, colour isn't anything, really.


Online; Halo II wins out, easily, there's more people playing it Online than Halo I, also you get a better fight for your life.

Don't use a Microphone, ;)

it dusnt matter if you have a microphone or not you can still hear what everyone says, through the tv speakers
