Title: Quad Siege Dread

GreyDeath - February 21, 2005 04:17 AM (GMT)
Well I have made massive dreads and I have seen massive dreads so I wanted to make the Most massive dread out there.
You know one thats very Mech feeling and very tough to out do.

So I made one with 4 arms and 4 legs and rear security guns.

Its a VDR Monster!
I have made pins for all arms
I have alot of clean up and armor plates to make and I do need to do some painting of course.

I havent VDR'd it but like I said its a Siege machine.

You can equip him with any weapons a dread could have.
So I do have alot of rules to go over for him.

I was thinking of the Front with power fists?

Nice like 5 attack strength 10 Siege dreadnought with 2 wounds?

Heres some photos of the begining work?

[EDIT]
I made some changes.
Like I said work in progress.

The back did seem to much and to cluttered.
So I did remove the big guns and replaced with a storm bolter to do the rear security.

I also added some more bits and what not.

Here you go.

Well what do you think?

I dont have any rules.
I just really wanted to make the ultimate Dreadnought

Looks pretty cool but fluff wise slightly unbalanced. 1 gun on one side 2 on the other?

I had the idea of making a super dread out of a defiler as with the body in the middle its a lot more balanced as you can see with the normal dread lookking like it will fall frontwards.

See I thought so too.

I had made it with a larger rear weapons platform with guns that could be changed out and on other threads people tore up that idea and said it sucked and looked cluttered and what not.

So I tried it with the smaller guna nd your right.

Heres before

and here it is showing the pins so weapons could be switched out.

Yes the second is awesome. Its like a juggernaight in a way but its definately an improvement. It looks a lot more stable this time so good job.

Im afraid it still looks a little cluutered unfortunately :(

Maybe consider converting the tyhpoon missiles into 2 weapons so at least the body itself wont look clustered?
It just appears that the body is going to fall over the way it is sorry?
