Title: heavy metal tours

Oblivious - January 28, 2005 11:26 AM (GMT)
for some reason, last night i looked around at some heavy metal bands like slipknot, manson, korn, soad, pantera, and so on, and all of them were not going to be playing in australia for at least a year.

why is that? has austarlia like been outcasted from the heavy metal industry or something? we need more heavy metal in australia!!

Vampy - January 28, 2005 12:30 PM (GMT)
Well you are responsible for INXS :P

Its a difficult touring destination really. Not a lot of scope to the Aus scene because the population i low for a huge continent and not really near Europe in any way and europe and emerica is where the metal scene is biggest. Germany has a huge following so they get a lot of tours

Oblivious - January 28, 2005 01:12 PM (GMT)
well slipknot is very popular over here but they decide to make all the maggots (slipknot fans) suffer by making us put up with all the punk andrap crap for one hole year before they come, and then they are here for like a week

Erokose - January 28, 2005 11:02 PM (GMT)
Well they make more money in other countries thats why they don't usally tour australia, and some punks bands are good, IE Green day, I would say they are punk. And the only reason some of these bands do come and so their fans have a chance to see them and they do say Australia has the best mosh pits.

Oblivious - January 30, 2005 04:37 AM (GMT)
yeah green day is punk, and they probably only come here like twice a year because they dont have much time on their schedule with all the rest of the tours.

hell yeh  us auzzies skitz out hardcore at concerts, you should have seen all the maggots at the slipknot concert i went to. the whole crowd is a mosh pit, and there was about 2500 people there,

Erokose - February 3, 2005 10:14 AM (GMT)
Well actully, the WHOLE crowd wouldn't of been a mosh, thats over exagerating a bit, But I would say a little more then half of the number of people.

Oblivious - February 3, 2005 10:17 AM (GMT)
haha no erekose, im not overexagerating, the WHOLE crowd was a moshpit, except for maybe a few stragglers at the back.

Erokose - February 3, 2005 10:24 AM (GMT)
......token  ...what did I just say........you basicly said what I said just in a different way

Oblivious - February 3, 2005 10:33 AM (GMT)
no i didnt, your saying that like hlaf of us were moshing, im saying that all of us were moshing except for about 20 ppl who were out of it a bit, anf had a headache or something....two completely different things :P

emperors champion akeris - February 3, 2005 11:17 AM (GMT)
Ive seen system of a down and slipknot in the last month. In a few months cradle fo filth will be over for sure.
Later in the year i expect mudvayne (finally) and even korn to be comming over for the first time in a while.

Tis a difficult continent to play at. Most big bands go along with the big day out tour so don't expect much good comming near us in a while. Especially when the main cities or those worth playing at are at least 4 hours apart.

Lol inxs vampy my mum has almost every dvd of theirs and i get that almost every day :(

So your saying out of 2500 peeps only 20 people were just standing der (Not moshing)......So umm were you hanging from the roof or something to see this  . Normal dancing isn't moshing, and I said a little more then half would of been moshing, the others would of been standing OUT of the mosh pit or dancing normally. Now they make a mosh pit so people can mosh...thats the reason of a mosh pit so how can 2500 people fit in the mosh pit?

Oblivious - February 4, 2005 06:42 AM (GMT)
well next time you go to a slipknot concert erekose you will see what i mean by the WHOLE crowd moshing, i couldnt be bothered explaining because obvioulsy i cant prove you wrong

emperors champion akeris - February 20, 2005 11:37 AM (GMT)
hehe news

1. marilyn manson this october (possibly iron maiden as openers)

2. wednesday 13 next year some time

expect them for BDO time. Thats where they can get around easily.

Oblivious - February 22, 2005 03:56 AM (GMT)
do you know who is playing at the 2006 Big Day Out? I heard that Murderdolls might be playin there,

I hope KoRn, Slipknot, Manson, Dollz, Rammstein, and SOAD play at the next BDO

emperors champion akeris - February 22, 2005 10:46 AM (GMT)
Well rammstein is 2007 and korn cant make up their mind.

Murderdolls WILL NOT be comming, officially wednesday 13 the best of the shoch metal bands is comming instead.

Slpknot and SOAD wont be back for a while they came this year.

Expect 2/3 to come.

Probably wednesday13 as a definate possibly korn who wrere here last april and possibly mudvayne who release a new album in april.

Oblivious - February 22, 2005 11:18 AM (GMT)
well thats what murderdolls are called now arent they? wednesday 13? cos joey left, well i want them all to go at once, it would be heaps mad

Erokose - February 24, 2005 06:54 AM (GMT)
Yeh they renamed because it was against the law to still be called murder dolls when joey from slipknot wasn't in it anymore.

Oblivious - February 25, 2005 02:46 AM (GMT)
umm why would it be illegal just because joey left? ;) but it would be a good idea to change the name so it showed they were a new band

emperors champion akeris - February 25, 2005 10:57 AM (GMT)
THE MURDERDOLLS HAVE NOT SPLIT UP!!!!!

Wednesday is just doing his thing with wednesday13 and joey is promoting the subliminal verses.

dont beleive me murderdolls site

Oblivious - February 25, 2005 01:44 PM (GMT)
oh well thats not what i keep hearing, oh well i don care, whateva. as long as one of them plays

Erokose - February 25, 2005 10:34 PM (GMT)
Well the reason it is illigal because of copyright laws. when joey was in it they were murder dolls with the name copyrighted joey left so they couldn't be murder dolls anymore. Like creed, their lead singer left so they had to rename.

Oblivious - March 2, 2005 06:12 AM (GMT)
the lead singer of creed lefT? ;) haha i don't really care, i don't like creed, but im looking forward to the next concert

Erokose - March 2, 2005 10:33 AM (GMT)
I was just using creed as an example and I happen to like some of their songs. I like most music no matter what it is...apart from simple plan! <_<

Oblivious - March 3, 2005 01:50 AM (GMT)
haha thats quite true, simple plan suck! but i don't really like creed, you little rap boy!

Erokose - March 3, 2005 05:34 AM (GMT)
Rap.....? Creed has got nothing to do with rap....they are rock...

Oblivious - March 3, 2005 06:02 AM (GMT)
yeah i know that, i thought somone might mix that up, you know how me and dean keep calling you rap boy and stuff? dah!

Vampy - March 3, 2005 03:00 PM (GMT)
