Title: cd burners

does anyone know how to install cd burners? ;) I just got a cd burner for xmas and when ever i try to pur it in, my monitor goes all funny. I've tried making the burner the master and the cd drive the slave but that won't work either. please help me, you are my only help

cool, thanks..I really need it in before i wipe my comp, so i can burn all my music to cds and put em bak on my comp after its wiped

Well why don't you make back up's on floopy disc? Or have your computer backed up onto cds (Im pretty sure you don't need a burner to do that)

well im pretty sure that all my music files wont fit onto floppy, and i think you do have to have a burner to do that, your bro said there might be something wrong with the burner, like it might be faulty merchandise, so im going to take it back and get them to check it out
