Title: 2K Tzeentch vs. Lizardmen
Description: I got Massacred!

2k points. I was Tzeentch

The Lizards got to deploy second, but I got to move first. There was a building on one side of the table, and a lake and a forest on the other. He deployed Kroxigors and Skinks behind the building, and Skinks and Salamanders behind the woods and lake (actually, the Salamamdewrs were next to the woods, but they were also basically next to the Skinks. In the center, he deployeed two units of Saurus a unit of Cold One Riders, and a Stegadon (he didn't have a Slann, and only 5 Dipel Dice... I had 13 Power dice!). I set up my troops with my Furies ready to take care of the Skinks in thewoods, with the Chosen Chaos Knights ( and an Exalted Tzeentch Champion) on their right, and then my Warriors (with a Tzeentch Lord of Chaos), Spawn, Marauders (with an Aspiring Champion of Tzeentch), and then my Chariot near the bulding.

So, I went first. I just moved all of my guys up full, except the Chariot and the Furies. the Chariot couldn't move up fully, and if I had moved the Furies any farther up, they would have been buthchered by Skinks. My Magic Phase was a disaster. I suffered a Miscast with my Lord, who suffered a Wound, and no enemy casualties were made.

My opponent (Alex) moved his Steggie forward and his Skinks near the building. His Krox moved around the side of the building to try and get my flank. The Steg fired its bow, and caused a wound on the Spawn.

I saw the Krox coming, and the only thing that could stop them was my Chariot. So I prepared to to charge the Kroxigors next turn... My Furies caharged the Salamanders, and subsequently lost the combat, and disappeared. My Knights had refused to take any casualties from the shooting that they were getting... Again, my Exalted Champion miscast, and couldn't cast any more spells this Phase. Again, no spells went off.

The Krox moved into postition, and I charged them with my Chariot, praying to kill at least two and hoping that their attacks wouldn't hit, as they would destroy the Chariot instantly... I slew one Krox there (six Impact Hits), and caused a Wound on another. The remaining two, of course, destroyed the Chariot. My Marauders then charged the Skinks and took four casualties from a Stand and Shoot reaction. The Marauders then beat the Skinks by seven, and the Skinks fled, and my Maruaders failed to catch them.

Then the Krox smashed into my Warriors' flank, and won the Combat. The Warriors broke, fled about 5", and the Kroxigors caught them, and ran into my Knights, and did the exact same to them. The Steggie charged the Spawn, and slew it with his impact hits. My Marauders are now the only surviving Chaos troops. The fleeing Skinks rallied, and I either charged or got charged by Saurus, lost, and ran, then the Lizards caught them and ate them.

It was a Massacre for me. I killed almost no models, and he wiped out my entire army in 3 or 4 turns. In my heart, I am not a Chaos player, but a Skaven player, so I didn't use my guys properly. In a ddaition, not A SINGLE SPELL KILLED ANYONE! The Tzeentch magic did nothing. Thus, I have learned that never, ever, never depend on magic.

Congrats, Alex!

Thanks for a battle report.
Well it sounds like if you were successful with your magic it wouldnt of changed the outcome of the game alot. But if the Marauders ran the skinks down when they fled from them it would of turned things around atleast a little bit.
Anyway good battle report and better luck with your next clash. :)

I actually fought a battle right after my last failure, and failed again! I can't remember exactly what happened... It was another Massacre... All of my guys dead again...
Oh, Also... My Magic killed NOTHING yet again.
It was fun, though, and it lasted one turn longer, and my Furies tore apart his Skinks and my Warriors were the stars. It was the same army list.
