Title: Iron warriors seige tanks
Description: would you like to see a special tank

As we know the iron warriors are seige specialists and get the use of the basilisk. I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on a tank JUST for the iron warriors. Something to break down fortresses and whatnot. A tank designed for seiges. Would you like to see something like this aswell? Lets here some ideas.

Between the basilisk, vindicator, demolisher and thunderer, I think there are enough tanks designed for sieges.

With the current armor 14 Str 10 toting tanks, I don't see how you could really make an improvement for bunker busting.

True but i was thinking more of a unique tank. These are all used by other races.

I was thinking more along the lines of a battering ram type thing with demop charges on the front to blow down fortifications. Even if it wont happen do you have any ideas/possibilities on what could be made?

I'm thinking of it too officialy. For house rules, making a siege scenario would be great ( bunkers are easy to bust even without the IW specialist bonus, as is).

Maybe beef up bunkers. Armor 13/-/10, ignore glancing hits, weapon destroyed on 5, destroyed on 6. Cannot be destroyed from side. Bunkers come with an anti-tank weapon (Str7 AP2 blast/barrage). Maybe its too complicated but 'if you get off the boat, you go all the way' I suppose.

As for the tank, maybe give it an assault move (like a walker) equiped with a massive shaped charge on the front. Single use, S 9 melta penetration, causes bunker collapse on 2+.

I'm sure theres better ideas than the ones I can give.

Maybe the people driving the tank are the Iron Warriors who have lost limbs.

I decided on 13 instead of 14 since with the siege specialty bonus, it'd allow reaper autocannons to penetrate, which I think is fitting.

Not bad i suppose there would be some kind of melta charge avaliable. It makes sense as they want a smooth assault without the bunker pinning down troops. I was thinking of a tank with demo charges on the front and when they hit it at a certain point they exploded sending shrapnel into the bunker killing basically anything in it that is to stupid to move.
