Title: Nids Titan
Vampy - October 18, 2004 11:20 AM (GMT)
ClickyPosted by Eggbert on AP. Nice link. Sweet ass model! The Titan looks beautiful. Shame about the price (as usual) :(
Darmort - October 18, 2004 11:25 AM (GMT)
I think it's a great Mini! I love it, especially the tongue, my friend may buy one soon, if he gets enough money to do so that is, and I'll fight it when it shows its big ugly pus!
but I really do like it, not bad for 835 Points and £175, I may buy one just for the Model itself! :P
Vampy - October 18, 2004 11:44 AM (GMT)
I think the experimental rules are terrifying! That thing is ridiculous but having said that it does cost 835 points. Orks would be up shit creek against it. Need to pass a morale check to attack it, reduces attacks by 1 AND it causes wounds on a 4+ just by being next to models in base to base AND it auto glances an open topped vehicle by being next to it! :o Run Orkses, run!
The Confessor - October 19, 2004 01:44 AM (GMT)
I would love to see a grandmaster insta-gib the thing, it would be hard to pull off though.

:o Look a few models down. That fortres wall has to be the biggest ever peice of Games Workshop model ever. Theres a baneblade in there with room to spare
Scotty - October 20, 2004 02:42 AM (GMT)
I like it alot, I don't care about the price, I'm buying one in another 2-4 weeks, no questions asked. It's nasty, I'll put it an my 3000pt army, with one of them at the front!!!!!!
RUN!!!!!!!!!! It's good, because I need something big and nasty just to kill the Bloodthirster and Eldar Titan I'll be fighting in another 7 weeks or so.....
emperors champion akeris - October 20, 2004 10:25 AM (GMT)
Thats the spirit. I just think that the model isnt really titanish. It needs to be chunky like the scyth heriodule.
Scotty - October 21, 2004 11:27 PM (GMT)
I agree, it's big, but that's all it's gott going for it......It does need to be chunkier.
By the way, does anyone know where I can get the Scyth Heriodule and the rules for it?????
Spartan-118 - October 22, 2004 07:12 AM (GMT)
Nice!. But do ya think the night bringer could take it down, well have a chance>? <_<
Vampy - October 22, 2004 08:51 AM (GMT)
Yeah I do. Because although the Titan is nasty, once it loses those 3 magic wound thingies, Can't the NB kill anything in one shot? Or have I got mixed up? Hmm...

aye, its a great piece. Im going to get one as soon as i can. Maybe next week i'll order it.
It will be great to fight a proper siege game in 40k
Spartan-118 - October 23, 2004 12:55 AM (GMT)
YEh the necron nightbringer can take it out because it ignores all saves and it ignore wounds i think. becaue i killed a daemon prince with one hit.
The Confessor - October 23, 2004 01:28 AM (GMT)
The Nightbringer doesn't ignore wounds. The prince just didn't have Demonic Rune to avoid being insta-gibbed by the 10S.
Silas - October 23, 2004 12:32 PM (GMT)
C'tan drop to ratlings...which tells you precisely how good they are....
But the, almost all living things drop to ratlings, ratlings are the badasses of the universe :)
conman - October 23, 2004 01:02 PM (GMT)
HOW SIK IS THE ELDAR REVANENT TITAN?!!!!!!!!!!!!.......................to answer my own question extemely sik!!!
Silas - October 23, 2004 04:21 PM (GMT)
As in its ill?
Doesnt look ill to me...
Perhaps it was feeling better when i looked at the pics
Erokose - October 24, 2004 09:52 AM (GMT)
Nice ass model, but jeuse christ spartan! The Nightbringer !!!!CANT!!!! destroy everything!!!!!!!!!!!!! <_<
He is a special unit you can get, like the avatar! A titan would probly be able to eat the night bringer and shit him out.
Scotty - October 26, 2004 03:08 AM (GMT)
I agree wiht Erokose on this one......We did a little test with the Bio-Titan against the Night Bringer. The Titan kicked the Night Bringers ass in one turn, suffering only one of it's big magical wound thingies........Great creature that Bio-Titan......
The Confessor - October 26, 2004 04:02 AM (GMT)
I just ran some numbers ( so assuming average rolling ) the nightbringer holds up pretty well against the titan. Of course, with its extra mass-points the titan wins out.
NB- 1.09 wounds/turn
Titan .8 wounds/turn
Taking into account its 505 points more than the nightbringer, I think it would be better looking on the shelf than on the table.
Erokose - October 26, 2004 06:23 AM (GMT)
I think that proves that A titan would eat the night bringer and shit him out.
emperors champion akeris - October 26, 2004 09:42 AM (GMT)
What do you expect its a titan although the nighbiner is a God owoken and obvioussly very very angry if he causes so much destruction. Averages dont rreally mean much there is a 1 in 14 chance of killing a marine with a guass flayer yet on the weekend i lost 5 in a turn from 10 warriors and their rapid 24.
The Confessor - October 26, 2004 09:55 AM (GMT)
Luck is nothing to base an argument around. :P
emperors champion akeris - October 26, 2004 10:08 AM (GMT)
No luck is game based almost. The game revolves around dice rolling and that involves luck and odds.
Bolivious - October 26, 2004 12:18 PM (GMT)
to get an answer for this someone should actually get dice and conduct the test that the confessor did before. i would say the winner of the battle would depend on what the player actually rolled rather than odds and luck.
Vampy - October 26, 2004 12:32 PM (GMT)
Well look. It is fact that there is this thing called luck in every game. It is when you roll better than the odd's. For instance if you had 10 dice needing 4's and you rolled 7 4's you were lucky. If you did an experiment of 10000 dice needing 4's you would almost definitely get a split nearly the same as 50/50. I have had to do this sort of thing in maths many times when I was younger. Play the odds and they will at some point come good for you.
This is very off topic though so I suggest if you wish to discuss this further someone starts a thread about luck.
