Im just wondering if any of you fellow members own your own custom space marine chapters. Im looking for some inspiration to start my own chapter of marines. Any pics of your own? or any input in a background or colour scheme would be great. ;)

Its a lot of work designing youre own legion. Its hard enough designing what purpose you're little portion plays. Im too lazy to do that with my templars so lets jst say theyre sitting on their asses on armageddon.

Also right now there is a competition on who can design their own chapter and all the fluff that goes with it so one might consider?

I probably can't help you all that much, but I made my own chapter of SM if you want some help. It's alot of hard work, and takes forever. I won't tell you too much, but here's what I will tell you.....

My chapter was called the White Wolves (branched off from the Space Wolves).
They were founded not long after the Horus Heresy (oddly enough).
They don't have a battle/warcry, but they do howl alot.....very loudly.....
They have a problem with Khorne, Tzeench and Dark Angel armies.
They belive in everything the Space Wolves belive in.
They also follow the same organisation as the Space Wolves.
Their home planet is a snow planet.
They don't use as little ranged weapons as possible (believe that fighting at a range is less honourable then fighting at close quarters, but still use some ranged weapons, as they know how valuable and helpful it can be).
Their colour scheme is white with a little bit of light blue.

There you go, thats all I'll tell you right now, but if you're interested in hearing more, let me know, and I'll send you the document that has EVERYTHING about my chapter in it.....it even has all the organisations of companies and stuff like that.

In the new SM codex there should be info about 'custom chapters' and what SAs you could give to them like hitting and being his against DAs on 3+ etc. :lol:

@War Mammoth......I hope the new codex does have that stuff, that would be cool. As for my chapter, I just used the same rules as the Space Wolves, but made a minor change. Where it says they hit and are hit on a 3+ bu Dark Angels or Tzeenchian armies, I added in Khorne armies.
