Title: Mornel P1 and continuing

Darmort - October 7, 2004 07:25 AM (GMT)
Mornel Blathe, a character of many qualities and a very good cook, but he lacks one thing, guidence, but yet, he goes out into the world every year and comes back with a chest full of treasure, no ones sure how this happens but it's probebly to do with the fact that he is a differant but why is he a differant? well, we shall see that in the next installment of Mornel

sorry but I can't think of anymore right now

Looks ok from what i read there. Youve proven a good writer from drake exile so keep it up look forward to whenever you decide to add to it.

Darmort - October 7, 2004 10:43 AM (GMT)
thanks for your imput Champion

This is the next installment in the Mornel Series.
PART II

Mornel is a differant, but what is differant? To understand what differant is you have to understand that differant means "not the same as everybody else", this can be confused with "not the same as anyone else", this of course means that if you get the meaning wrong you are thick.
so differant is not the same as "everybody else" and not the same as "anybody else"
So, while you are still trying to figure that out Mornel has been wondering why he is differant from "everybody else".
this will be explained in the next part of the Mornel series

Darmort - October 8, 2004 11:47 AM (GMT)
OK i'm getting bored so i'm posting this, also mudvayne (Emerpor's Champion Akeris) and me have reached an agreement, but that's a secret

Part Three!

Mornel is a differant and in the last installment of this story we explaned what a differant is.
So, Mornel, as you know, is an Adventurer, he is an Adventurer because he is differant, so he is differant because he is an Adventurer.
So he is a differant because he is an Adventurer, and vice verca, remember that.
But why is Mornel a differant, well, that's a surprice for later.
please read our next Installment of the Mornel series, enjoy.

Darmort - October 10, 2004 09:38 AM (GMT)
hmmm, no one replying to these? that's bad for my fluff :(

Part Four

Mornel, is an Adventurer, and an Adventurer is a differant, and for a long time, you (the readers) have been wondering what a different is.
Well then, here is the time where we get into our story, as this is all backstory.
But first, here what Mornel looks like, he has blue-grey eyes, blue-grey hair, and his skin glows blue-grey, he wears only blue-grey, this is why he is differant, it's all about the clothes, as most other people wear green in this world, even the bad guys, although they wear a differant shade of green to good guy green.
The story proper will begin in the next Installment of the Mornel Series
enjoy

Its good. Its a vague background of what he is and what he looks like. This is what you'd find in a prologue. I suggest going into details now as a storey intro of what his next adventure is and what he expects to face along the way and who is behind the forces arrayed to stop him discovering whatever it is he ius looking for.

Darmort - October 10, 2004 10:23 AM (GMT)
that pretty much what I was thinking of Akeris, well, here's Part Five

Part Five

Mornel woke, his blue-grey bedcovers wrapped around him, he sat up, rubbing his blue-grey eyes, he knew he was a differant , and for that he didn't know who to blame, oh well, he thought, time to get up.
He got dressed into his blue-grey tunic and britches, he put his blue-grey leather boots on, and went down stairs, his feet clumped down the stairs.
Mornel looked in the cupboard, grabbing his blue-grey bowl from one of them, a blue-grey spoon from another, and something else, and this of course was also blue-grey.
He finished eating, and got up, he walked over to the door and grabbed his blue-grey belt, blue-grey swor and blue-grey daggers. He fixed the Belt with one end over his hip, the other halfway down his thigh, he opened the door, and walked out, locked it again, and walked away, away on another Adventure.....

emperors champion akeris - October 10, 2004 10:49 AM (GMT)
Hmmm i think myabe that would be the end of the prologue. It wasn't what i would consider an introduction. I was thinking about saying wjhat his adventure would be in the introduction? Do you catch my drift? Its good but not what iexpected for an intro

Darmort - October 10, 2004 11:08 AM (GMT)
Part Six

Mornel walked for some miles, his legs ached, but he couldn't stop, not when he knew that the differantness was in him, no, he needed to rest he needed to carry on, he willed his body forwards, he had walked at least twelve miles now.
He stopped, needing a break, he then, fell to the ground, a dart imbedded in the back of his neck, he saw his attackers, before he fell asleep, they were Kobolds.....

emperors champion akeris - October 11, 2004 06:20 AM (GMT)
Ok maybe that would be good as an intro. No messing round straight to the point. To develop a storey maybe it could be his discovery of something seceret and therefore needing tio escape capture???

Darmort - October 12, 2004 06:32 AM (GMT)
Mornel woke, he felt pain on the back of his neck, was that where the dart hit him? He asked himself, yes, it must of been.
He got up and walked to the bars, they were rusty and old, he started to bend one, it creeked untill he could fit his head though the opening, he bent the one on the other side of it, bent that one so he could fit hi body and legs though it.
He got out the prison cell, he walked up to the sleep Kobold guard, and throatled him in his sleep.
he took the dead guards sword and dagger, which were his, and looked out the door....

emperors champion akeris - October 12, 2004 09:43 AM (GMT)
Very good. Its very much like an assasin. His Capturers are they pirates? People that cant afford to maintain prison cells and that sort of stuff? Keep it up DM :D

Darmort - October 12, 2004 07:47 PM (GMT)
Mornel looked out the prison, these Kobolds were planning something big, to have a Prison Cell built so well as this must of taken at least a thousand gold crowns, or anything else the same amount in other forms of modey, or land even, the disign of the structure even looked Dwarfen.
He looked at the blades in his blue-grey hands, he knew he could force his way out, but he would be over matched in speed and outnumbered, no matter how many times he fought against Kobolds their lightning quick reflexs always surpriced him, unless he could use that against them, but how....

emperors champion akeris - October 13, 2004 09:45 AM (GMT)
Getting better. He has encountered problems which is good. A story isnt a storey without a good deal of misfortune and heartache. keep it up DM :D

Darmort - October 13, 2004 12:00 PM (GMT)
Mornel pondered, he could try looking for a secret passage, like in the last time he was captured by Kobolds, or, he could try his hand at being a Theif, of course he tryed the latter, he'd never been a sneaky type of person though, getting through problems with his head and blue-grey weaponry.
Three Kobolds came walking down the corridor, in a line like all Kobolds, he pressed his back against the wall, and waited, the Kobolds walked right past him, he sighed a relief, big mistake.
The three Kobolds turned round and each one drew a short sword.
Mornel threw one of his throwing knives, it slit into one of the Kobolds necks, killing it.
The other two leapt to attack him, Mornel ducked a swipe, then had to roll to the left as two swipes almost took his head off, he stabbed upwards into one Kobold, catching it in the liver, the last one dropped it's sword and ran, Mornel threw another throwing knife at it.
Mornel breathed a sigh of relief again, and proceeded to hide the bodies under the desk in the Prison Room....

Darmort - October 13, 2004 07:26 PM (GMT)
Mornel finished hiding the bodies, his sword had been cleaned and he had again, begun to walk down the corridor to freedom, his sword ever at the ready, and he was back-hugging the wall, as the Kobold guards often walked down most the corridor it seemed.
Three more Kobolds walked down the corridor, each armed with a halberd, Mornel knew that these Kobolds were now armed by some other race.
He continued to sneak down the corridor...

emperors champion akeris - October 14, 2004 05:34 AM (GMT)
ok so the story is building. Theres a twist already. Good work DM.

Darmort - October 14, 2004 05:23 PM (GMT)
Mornel reached the end of the corridor, two guards were at the end, but they weren't Kobolds, but Orcs, he cursed under his breath, those great big lumps of lard were tougher than any Kobold.
But luckily, they were dumb, Mornel stretched his arm down to the corridor floor, picking up a handful of small stones, he threw them, one by one, at the Orcs, the Orcs looked at each other, and raised their weapons, and attacked each other.
Mornel would of chuckled if he wasn't escaping from a Kobold and Orc infested prison....

Darmort - October 15, 2004 09:30 AM (GMT)
Mornel made his way down a second passage, his sword still in hand and a throwing axe in the other, the throwing axe was stolen off one of the Orcs bodies.
He walked down the passage, stumbling every other step, and he tripped every fourth step, the ground was uneven in the dark.
Three Kobolds walked righ past him, as he stopped walking, he could hear their clawed feet flapping across the floor of the Prison....

emperors champion akeris - October 15, 2004 09:42 AM (GMT)
Kepp it comming DM. Its getting better and more worth reading very post :D One suggestion would be that fighting makes everything a lot more interesting :D

Darmort - October 15, 2004 10:49 AM (GMT)
Emperor, you know where he is right?

Mornel is escaping a Prison run by Kobolds and Orcs, if he trys fighting them he'll be killed or captured without any help

Mornel tripped, his sword clattered on the ground, the three Kobold guards turned round, their halberds raised in attack position.
He got up and threw the axe, it hit the lead Kobold making a "Thluck" sound, the demi-human fell to the ground, the other two made shrill whistles, Mornel leapt, decapitating one, and stabbed the other.
Stealth no long mattered, he'd run and kill, and see if he could rescue any prisoners on the way, he pulled his axe free and ran down the passage, just as nine Kobolds inspected the dead bodies....

emperors champion akeris - October 15, 2004 10:57 AM (GMT)
Good. You must be a good writer, people comment on yours and totally ignore mine

Darmort - October 15, 2004 12:03 PM (GMT)
heh, well i've only got one reader, no one else really posts telling me what they think

Mornel dashed the brains of an Orc, he buried the axe into a second, he then swung round and spun his blade into the chest of a Kobold, the other demi-humans stepped away from him.
He charged one, his sword slit a Kobolds neck and the axe turned an Orcs skull to jelly.
Mornel then leapt over a Koblod, dashing it's brains out as he went, and landed by a Prison Door, a girl in Black looked at him, shes a differant thought Mornel as he bashed the lock, he spun round and dodged a swipe from an Orc, two Kobolds jumped to slay him, but his axe whizzed over their heads, distarcting them for a second while he put hi sword though ones throat and kicked he other, the Orc at his side leapt on top of him.
Mornel tryed to free the dagger at his belt while whestling with the Orc, he never had the chance as the Girl who had been in the Prison Cell dashed it's brains out with a Kobolds sword.
"Thanks for that."
"Welcome, but I couldn't of killde the brute if you hadn't bashed the lock on my prison door. Whats your name?"
"Mornel, yours?"
"Sethela, I see we're both differants."
"So it seems, now come on, we're getting out of here before more of these demi-humans come to enslave us again."
"I'm for that, Mornel."
Both Sethela and Mornel ran down the exit passage.
"This place is easy to navigate, signs for the exit everywhere."
Sethela laughed as they ran down the passage, her dress was ripped Mornel noticed, her Black hair and eyes seemed to attract him to her, her Black Leather shoes seemed to help her run faster.
"Are they..."
"Yes, they're magic shoes."
Mornel nodded, he picked her up.
"What are you doing?" Sethela asked.
"This!" Mornel shouted as he leapt though a window on the side of the wall.
Both Mornel and Sethela fell about ten feet, Mornel managed to land on his feet.
Sethela jumped off his back.
"Thanks for the ride."
"Any time."
Shrieks coming from the window told them that they weren't safe yet, arrows rained down on them, missing but getting to close for comfot.
Both of them ran away from the prison, the arrows chasing them, often over shooting and tripping them up....

emperors champion akeris - October 15, 2004 11:30 PM (GMT)
Good good. No help needed anymore i can see your writing skills have evolved :D Keep it up DM ill work on the other to get into this story as much as i have.

Darmort - October 16, 2004 09:25 AM (GMT)
Mornel and Sethela stopped at the edge of a steep hill, arrows still came at them, Mornel ducked as two arrows whizzed past his head, Sethela didn't scared, infact, she seemed to be enjoying this.
"Down the hill?"
"Yeah, anything better than being pinpricked by Kobold marksmen."
Mornel sighed, he then took four steps back, and ran down the hill, he jumped over a stone and went flying the rest of the way down.
Sethela had rolled down it, and stopped face up.
"Why are you so happy?"
"Well i've just had some activiness since I was captured by the Kobolds, i'm happy because i've got away from them."
"Right...."
"Don't judge me like that Blathe, I know you, and I always wanted to meet you, that why i'm a differant, people only want to see our kind when they need something big killed. So pl..."
She was cut off as Mornel jumped on top of her.
"I think we need to know each other a bit more."
"Really? how?"
"Like this." Sadi Mornel as he kissed her....

Darmort - October 16, 2004 03:43 PM (GMT)
Mornel and Selrath slept togethre that night under a tree, they lay tired, Mornel's brain had frozen while he was kissing her, Selrath had fallen asleep about the same time.
Shrill cries echoed though the night, waking both Adventurerers up, Selrath looked scared.
"What is it?"
"a wolf, theres fifteen of them out there," said Mornel, his voice quavering.
Selrath reached for her stolen sword, Mornel laughed.
"It's nothing, they're not coming this way, they're going the other way, they passed here five minutes ago, we wouldn't of lived to wake up if they were after us, they were told to leave us alone. We have an ally out there."
Selrath looked unconvinced.
Monrel raised an eyebrow.
Selrath leapt at him, kissing him with hungry lips, Mornel kissed back, running his hands though her hair, Selrath hugging him tighter towards her body....

Darmort - October 16, 2004 09:51 PM (GMT)
Mornel and Sethela ran, the Kobolds had found them again, they now rode on large wolves, not the ones Mornel heard last night, they were Wargs, they were larger than the largest wolves ever seen by mortal eyes.
Mornel had his sword drawn, his blade would be useless in combat against those wolves though.
He continued running, a forest was ahead of him, good, Wargs can't navigate in forest svery well, too much wild life....
