Hey this is my tyranid army. i have only had it for about a three months now and I would like to know what you think about it and if you know what would be benificial for my army :D well heres my army:
  • 3 Warriors
  • 12 Genestealers
  • 16 Hormagaunts
  • 3 Ripper Swarm
  • 16 Termagants
  • 1 Carnifex
  • 1 Zonathrope
  • 1 Biovore

I like it. It looks good on paper but its a little fragile on the feild. Ive seen you lose too much to soon against chaos. for larger battles i would recomend a hive tyrant and more stealers and possibly some fast close combat.

Just my thoughts its up to you.

I suggest getting more little critters like Hormagaunts. You really need them for sweeping into the enemy battle line really fast, holding them up long enough so that your bigger stuff can get stuck in without getting harmed before hand.
Gargoyles are also useful in that respect.
Some Raveners would be good to support your fast small critters as well.

I personally think you may need another 6 or so geanstealers, from the times of played the force they have played a huge roll in being a core unit of the army and they always get the points back in kills. Maybe a few more termaguants aswell, just to bring the numbers up.
Just my 2 cents

Hmm well i think your army lacks a little close combat to be honest. I would go hourmagaunts as they have better combat skills and fleet of claw. Well on the topic of genestealers why not they kil terminators if the roll a 6 to hit :o thats gotta be a good thing :D
I also agree with silas raveners are good for supporting critters as are lictors.

What is a terminator? Is it a tank or a troop? If its a tank it would take a whole brood but if it was a troop it might take about 4-5 stealers. probably less. depends on the troop

(DARMORT: you kill automaticly on 6+ or something so don't worry, but what about their Invulnerable save?)

a Terminator is a Space Marine in Tactical Dreadnaught Armour, Genestealers eat them for breakfast, lunch, and tea! (and if you're lucky pudding aswell)
get a few Lictors and have them (along with Genestealers) hide near enemy lines and assault with them early on
get a Revaner or two too go with the Gaunts and they charge up field with some Warriors behind with Leaping mutation, this is so they stay within the behavour roll thing and don't have to take LD checks or anything

Fisrt things first, another squad of 12 Genestealers.
Second, another squad of 16 Close Combat Gaunts.
Third, a squad of Gaunts with Spinefists and only Spinefists (5pts each and they can do lots of damage if you roll decently).
Fourth, Hive Tyrant.
Fifth, another 3 Warriors.
Sixth, some Raveners.
Seventh, another couple of Zoanthropes.
Eighth, More Rippers, or get rid of them.

There you go, hope that helps. Now, you don't have to dothis, but it's what I would do. It's all up to you. However, the 2 squads of Gaunts I said above, you have to choose 1 or the other if you want to keep your Rippers.

Rippers are handy, becaus they tie up you enemy. As for the raveners, if you get them, give them 2 sets of Scything talons, and most things die very quickly.

Hope that helps you. ;)

Anyway, that's my two cents......

Oih can you put the points in so we can see how much it all cost?
