Title: Tyranid Carnifex
Oblivious - October 3, 2004 06:42 AM (GMT)
I was just wondering, do you think that the tyranid carnifex would be able to have wings on it or do you think it would then be too "powerful" and i wouldn't be allowed to have them?

I doubt it. It has a big gun. Its like putting super jujmp packs on a dreadnaught it just doesnt fit. I know that a hive tyrant can have wings but thats about it foir monstrous creatures i think.
Oblivious - October 3, 2004 09:00 AM (GMT)
Yeah I was thinkin that aswell but there is a place where you can put them. you can put them just next to its head but it would look pretty retarded. Hive tyrants look mad with wings, i dont know why they dont have wings to start with :D

Would be pretty cool to see a Carnifex with wings.
Akeris; Hive Tyrants arnt the only monstrous creatures with wings. What about the Harridan?
Oblivious - October 4, 2004 10:06 AM (GMT)
I'm gonna go with my idea, i'll put wings on my carnifex. Just not sure what type of wings im gonna put on but. and what a a harriden or whatever?

A Harridan is a Tyranid Big Beasty. The model is 18" long and is really nice. Cost £175 though...

Know wonder i hadnt heard of it  While were at it silas lets add a scyth heridoule and a few preafactors.
Silas - October 5, 2004 12:43 PM (GMT)
Yeah, but do they have wings? I dont think so. I was on about big beasties with wings.
emperors champion akeris - October 6, 2004 10:25 AM (GMT)
Theres plenty of little bastards with wings but not so sure about big stuff
Most of them can fly like gargoyles and the hive tyrant anyway.

I'd say the wings used for Daemon Princes, they look really good when painted well. And theyre about the right size for the carnifex. :)
Hmmmmmmmm what else could work <_<
Oblivious - October 7, 2004 07:05 AM (GMT)
Yeah i was gonna see if i could get some daemon prince wings. erekose and bolivious said something about putting gargoyle wings on it but they're too small ;)
emperors champion akeris - October 7, 2004 09:44 AM (GMT)
Well youll need about 20 gargoyle wings. They fit on the back of a genestealer and well the hive tyrant would have to flap mighty hard to get off the ground with those strapped to his back.
Deamon prince wings are good go for them.
Oblivious - October 7, 2004 12:12 PM (GMT)
Ok then how much would they cost because I was planning on buying a Hive Tyrant when I go to GW next time and I want to be sure on how much money I need to take.
Erokose - October 8, 2004 01:42 AM (GMT)
I think the hive tyrant is about $50 im not sure though (I would like to point this out) My main HQ cost me $18 :D
emperors champion akeris - October 8, 2004 04:48 AM (GMT)
You cant buy deamon prince wings at GW. Next time i see them in a white dwarf i will tell you.
Hive tyrant i think is about 60-70.
Oblivious - October 8, 2004 05:29 AM (GMT)
Ok thanks i already knew what the hive tyrant costs but i just didnt know how much the wings cost. the hive tyrant costs about 60
Silas - October 8, 2004 11:47 AM (GMT)
You can purchase the deamon prince wings from mail order.
I think that the Bloodthirsters wings would be better though.
Oblivious - October 10, 2004 05:12 AM (GMT)
do you know where i could get a picture of bloodthirster wings so i can compare?
CHAOS GOD666! - October 10, 2004 08:59 AM (GMT)
