Title: Best Place in a Tournament?
CHAOS GOD666! - August 17, 2004 10:57 AM (GMT)
Like the title reads, what is your best placing in a tournament? And what was the tournament called, what army did you use, and what were you marked on?
My only tournament was a mini league in Wellington NZ and i ended up placing 5th out of 17 people. I used a small 500pt chaos army, and we were marked on wins, attitude and knowledge of the game.
The thing i was worst at was knowledge as i had just started warhammer half a month beofore the tournament.
But i wish to participate in as many campaigns and tournaments as possible, i may fly to Taiwan when im older as they are supposed to have a good looking gaming system there. ;)

Unfortunately, i haven't attended any Tournaments, as I am too young (I think)...

You can enter Conflict at 10+ (i think...), although you'd probably get creamed by the more veteran players.
Youngest guy i played was 14, what an ass whopin' i gave him...

Really? hah! Then I could go, as I am about the same age as the 14 year ols that you crushed... but who cares if I lose! Warhammer is for fun!

Not shure if this counts.
If not then mods by all means remove this if in the wrong place.
I entered the GW tank building contest featured in the White Dwarf.
It was 2 years ago.
Everyone from all over the Untied States was to bring in there models to be Judged and then would be sent into the GW corporate office to be judged.
So out of the hole United States and everyone who entered.
I won for my local GW store and recieved runner up over all.
I was featured in a white dwarf and was given 2 Landraiders as my prize also.
Here is the Tank I built and won with

But its the only type of tournament I have entered?
So hope its ok in here?

That is awesome... Nice Tank, too! I haven't been able to find any tournaments close by... the closest thing to a Tournament was a painting contest where I placed second...

Thanks.
Ya I dont claim to be the best painter.
I am fully aware that if I win its because of my conversions first off and then painting only secondly.
So I have yet to enter a strictly painting compatition.
The guys I game with are golden deamon winners and what not so I have zero chance.
But thanks man about the tank and congrats on the painting compatition.
Good stuff way to go!

I like the buggy, it reminds me of the good old warthog. :) Hmmm...haven't been in many tourneys as the big tourneys in LA are too far away to go to. :( But I placed 1st and 2nd in some local store tourneys with my DA.
