Deployment: The board was a grass land covered with some kinda out post, 4 different small ruins, a small bush land in the middle.
My empire force was set up with my hand gunners inside small ruins on the far right corner, captain and spearmen were set up in the middle, and my cannon on the left. Scaven were pretty much spread accross there table edge. But with 1 unit of clanrats on the left and the rest more to the right of the table.
Turn 1
Empire-I luckily went first in this battle and i was happy with that, as i kinda had a plan.
My unit of spearmen moved there full distance straight forward, my captain ran ahead some what. The hand gunners moved forward so that they were in range next turn. The only action was the cannon with successfully tore down 4 clanrats out of the left flank.
Scaven- The scaven horde realised they had to get into battle as soon as possible and moved full pace straight forward.
Turn 2
Empire- This was a more promising turn. I moved my spearmen towards the right flanks along side my captain. The hand gunners let loose and tore down 6 clanrats from one of the units of 20 on the right flanks, causing them to flee off the board. And the cannon only took down 2 clanrats with a miserable roll.(three ones to wound).
Scaven-Scaven continued to slumber forward. Next turn would be in range of a charge for sure.
(so that was 8 clanrats down from the left flank, and 20 from the right.)
The rest will be written in the next few days. Its 11.30 here and im tired.
Lovely congrats. When i get an army big enough to play were on :D
first off it's Skaven, not scaven, and good job on the battle report, may be able to post one, when I next have a battle, and your tactics seem a bit strange to me, you may consider two units of ten Hand Gunners
Oh i did use two units of ten but it was easier to write it that way, sorry.
Skaven, ok!
My tactic was to keep the unit on the left dragged down with cannon fire and throw everything else at the other side, so the left unit had to foot slog it over to join battle. :D
Darmort! you are a hypocrit! Do not tell CHAOS GOD666! off for bad spelling when you are bad enough yourself!
Now get back to the d.net chats dungeon!
