Title: Games?

CHAOS GOD666! - July 8, 2004 12:16 PM (GMT)
How many games on average do you play in a month. I would say 3 or more.

emperors champion akeris - July 9, 2004 10:08 AM (GMT)
Depends how lazy i feel. I play around 3 tops but usually on 1 day.

GreyDeath - July 12, 2004 04:05 AM (GMT)
1 a month maybe...... :(

I suck at going to the hobby shop and playing.
Its a 1 1/2 hour drive and I never get a chance to go on the same days as the people I want to game against.

I suck....

Erokose - July 12, 2004 10:43 AM (GMT)
I try to get as manny as possible. Maybe 1 or 2, I love the game but no one ever wants to play it with me.

Vampy - July 12, 2004 11:14 AM (GMT)
Well at the moment I do not play. We are constructing a new board and have been doing for a couple of months (laziness is the reason it is not already done) but when it is done we usually get in about 1 - 5 games a month depending on free time.

Erokose - July 14, 2004 05:31 AM (GMT)
Ive created a massive city fight, its really cool.

CHAOS GOD666! - July 14, 2004 06:20 AM (GMT)
Once its painted can ya post some pix of it?

Hell yeah, I'll put heaps, (lol all I need now is a huge board to fit it all)

Spartan-118 - July 15, 2004 09:42 AM (GMT)
Sounds good! Cant wait.

emperors champion akeris - July 15, 2004 10:33 AM (GMT)
Lazynees is the reason i play 2-3 games a month. have so much free time (excluding most saturdays (tennis dam)) yet ive made 2 peices of scenery in 3 months.

Silas - August 5, 2004 10:36 AM (GMT)
I feel sorry for you guys who say 1-2 a month! I play 1-2 times a week!

Vets night and running my own club. I feel soo lucky sometimes

dark angel 17 - August 23, 2004 05:30 PM (GMT)
I'm playing about 1 game a week right now, tops. I've been busily working away at my city fight board and it's almost done.

Erokose - August 24, 2004 03:45 AM (GMT)
Yeah im playing about one game a week as well.

emperors champion akeris - August 24, 2004 10:20 AM (GMT)
Hmnmmmm i would work on my board but polystyrene in abundance at my place makes such a mess. This sunday heres hoping i dont play tennis (fingers crossed) i will be making a bit of terrain with our administrator.

Erokose - September 7, 2004 06:04 AM (GMT)
I just made some more terrain and it looks awsome (I think)

Oblivious - September 8, 2004 05:38 AM (GMT)
i play about two games a week with erekose cos he lives the closest to me

Erokose - September 9, 2004 08:13 AM (GMT)
Hey Oblivious you are getting heaps better at 40k keep up the good work :D

dark angel 17 - September 10, 2004 12:44 AM (GMT)
Adding to my respose above, sometimes I don't even play in a week and other times I play 2 times a week so all in all it adds up to about 1 game a week.

Erokose - September 10, 2004 02:35 AM (GMT)
Well I don't like to play too much but I play when I can.

Bolivious - September 10, 2004 06:43 AM (GMT)
well when i get an army ill be trying to play as often as possible

Erokose - September 10, 2004 10:29 AM (GMT)
You tend to do that, so when U get it blolivious I will vs you.

Bolivious - September 11, 2004 06:27 AM (GMT)
Yeh and when you vs me im gonna take you down!!!!!!!!

well actually im just hoping i will but theres more chance i wont

Erokose - September 12, 2004 05:07 AM (GMT)

Theres always a chance, I could mess up roll something wrong and then my gun will blow up somehow........Thats never going to happen but thats beside the point!

Oblivious - September 13, 2004 07:37 AM (GMT)
i try to play alot of games so i can figure out the rules of the game and the different stats of my monsters. And thanks for the compliment erekose but i still have a lot to learn :D :P

emperors champion akeris - September 13, 2004 09:43 AM (GMT)
Trust me oblivious theres always something to learn. I thought i woulds win by using the same tactic but trust me things get thrown at you that you dont expect so you rely on your experience to pull you out.

Bolivious - September 13, 2004 10:10 AM (GMT)
well i have to say Oblivious no offence or anything u should try and get your biovore into better positions because it is getting cut down to easily well thats only what i think

emperors champion akeris - September 13, 2004 10:31 AM (GMT)
The biovore well will most likely attract so much attention that it will be removed quickly. Thats why i stand by using zoanthropes. They have a 2+ save and can withstand fire with a reasonable toughness.

Bolivious - September 13, 2004 12:31 PM (GMT)
so you would reccomend zoanthropes over biovores ay?

emperors champion akeris - September 14, 2004 09:45 AM (GMT)
I recomend zoanthropes because they have a good save. Unlike biovores they can take a hit and live whereas you have to be lucky to save a biovore.

Their 2+ save means they can close in on opponents and fire off rounds and they can draw fre as their save is excellent.

Oblivious - September 15, 2004 10:36 AM (GMT)
I agree. biovores are good but they do attract alot of attention and most of the terrain i play on isnt that big. so for example, when i verse erekose as soon as we start the game he can take my biovore out because of his dark lances or woteva u want to call them.( actually i think they might just be his rocket launchers ;) )

and zoanthropes are a good pshycic monster with the 2+ save but you have to hide them and sometimes it can be a bit hard with it being so tall.

Bolivious - September 15, 2004 11:51 AM (GMT)
well in one of the other topics there is a bit of an arguement going on but i think the rocket launchers that erekose uses are actually called laz cannons not dark lances.

Oblivious - September 16, 2004 10:50 AM (GMT)
yeah, the rocket launchers or whatever you want to call them that erekose use i also think that they are called laz cannons because i remember reading something about laz cannons in erekoses' codex

The Confessor - September 16, 2004 07:37 PM (GMT)
Why don't you sit them behind cover and fire indirectly?

emperors champion akeris - September 17, 2004 09:43 AM (GMT)
Hmm... well i played cold steel today and the army of steel lehion a played today wasn't allowed to lob his missile launchers so why should the eldar?

If anything only a frag shell would be lobbed as a krak is launching a massive rocket drectly for armour (mostly) so wouldnt exactly be able to shoot over anything.

The Confessor - September 17, 2004 06:59 PM (GMT)
My fault intirely.

I meant the biovores, I should quote what I'm referring to

Bolivious - September 18, 2004 02:15 AM (GMT)
what type of cover do you mean? troops or terrain.
Beause if it is just behind troops wouldnt you still be able to attack the biovore because it is taller than most nids and you can still see it?

Silas - September 18, 2004 12:58 PM (GMT)
Maybe the dark eldar laz cannon thing is a difference of country? It has been that sorta thing in the past.

Is a lascannon pronounced "Laz-cannon" or "Layz-cannon"? I've heard it pronouced both and have heard a lot of reasons for both, but i wondered what your opininon was.

Erokose - September 18, 2004 11:05 PM (GMT)
Its pronounced Laz-Cannon. Onto the other subject, oblivious, when you vs me you need to hide your bivore cause I just blast him down, and try to get into close combat with me, you will slaughter me :D

Oblivious - October 2, 2004 10:32 AM (GMT)
I am doing that now. i only just found out that my biovore doesn't have to see his enemies to hit them, so thats a good thing for me

Silas - October 2, 2004 12:41 PM (GMT)
QUOTE (Erokose @ Sep 18 2004, 11:05 PM)
Its pronounced Laz-Cannon

Why though?

Since it is named after a Laser (pronounced Lay-zer) why is a lascannon not pronounced Layzcannon?
