Hi. i have no co ordination when i comes to following colour schemes. I just invent my own for some reason ever dince i started my white scars :rolleyes:

I have black templars now and i paint them to a scheme...well.....sort of :rolleyes:

Well your painting was pretty shabby with your white scars but your templars are looking great! :P

I was going to do a really cool codex green paint job on my DA,but ended up going for the angels of vengence,black,and highlighted with silver,bleach bone brest emblem.they look gr8.

Well my white scars were my first army so expect nothing less than a crappy job.

Wolf assasin your scheme sounds really cool and i would have a crack at a scratch buitl or little known chapter, but im too lazy.

well i think that i am a pretty good painter. i have won a third prize ina GW painting comp for my standard bearer

i paint my cadiand like this:
black UC
shadow grey on the clothes
50/50 bestil brown and bronzed flesh
then ink the clothes with a 25/75 black ink and water
highlight the skin with bronzed flesh
high light the clothes with 50 50 shadow grey and white
then do some camo on them and hjighlight the guns and touch up and then they are done

I had never really spent much time on painting until I highlighted a Razorback. My army is just standard Dark Angels Green, b y the way, they are the Dark Angles, but I'm currently going through and heavily highlighting all of my models with snot green on dark green and codex grey on black, it doesn't make very realistic highlights, because I do it so heavily, but I like having bright green lines running all over the armour.

Well i am a mediocer painter as well but my newest model i would have to say was exceptional (for my own standards) and the standard bearer of Daniel is a beautiful model and deserved better than 3rd. He even got 92/100 so its pretty good.

Next time i get hold of a digital camera ill put some pics in.

Yes i love conversions. I make thing into stuff and use no greenstuff just modeling clay which sucks because mummy threw my green stuff out.
Mt matest is biker hands converted to hold a sword aloft.

i am ever since i was about 5 for some reason but i don't use stargery in gaming sometimes it's just all out attack!

One question does anybody know how to get white looking good just like the guy's in GW that's the only colour i have never figered out.

White and red are my dreaded colors, i just try to paint atleast 2 coats or spray if it is for undercoats.

there is one way for black templar to get a good white first of all under coat white then cut out some masking tape and stick it on the shoulders on everywhere you want to be white then spray black and there you have it a nice white on the shoulders!

Yes a very handy tip to all who are painting there black templars, i might try it on some of my newer models i buy. :P

Hi I wnated to stop in and join in.
I dont paint that well compared to the group I hang out with.
I'm not the worst I'm just stuck in the middle.

Plus I use no greenstuff for any of my conversions.
I have only tried greenstuff 3 times and I suck.

This is the latest thing I painted so all use it.
Tau Drone for a special Ethereal named Archangel and he belongs to a Tau army called Heaven.

I own the cheapset kodak camera there is, serious no adjusting just point and shoot.
So sorry for most of my pics but atleast I can show my work.

So I paint ok and I make up for it with my conversions.
I love to convert first and then game and then be online talking about it and then paint.


When I painted some Black Templars I left the shoulder pads off.
Primered them white and painted them white. Added the black trim and glued back onto the Black Templar after he was all painted.

That helps with troops and its easy to do. :P

With metal figs you have to do like base coats of tan bone white then white.
Really thin and watered down white and it takes several coats.

You arnt bad at painting at all! The pic looks pretty good to me. :)

Shure. I'll give you a shot of what I think my Best conversion is.

All do two catagories.
Vehicle.

Is my Landmate Marine super heavy battle tank.
Took hours to build.
Costs alot and takes alot of nerve to cut up Landraiders not shure if your going to wreck them.
And its painted not half bad either.

Right now I am most impressed with my ArchAngel for Tau.
He is my third attempt with green stuff.
I made him taller. Added wings and changed his hole pose and added honor badges with Tau emblems.

Its hard to say.
I suppose the conversions that are hardest and turn out really cool are my favorite.
But sometimes the easiest and painted clean look the best? To some people?

So who knows.
