Just saw this one for "SOMETHING IS OUT THERE" (1977)

It looked really interesting until I found out it was an alternate title for DAY OF THE ANIMALS (which makes sense since its a Film Ventures release and features music from BEYOND THE DOOR).

Sigh.

I wish they made trailers like that still. I'm tired of seeing the entire movie condensed into a two-minute spot. Including the ending.

The vintage trailer for PRIVATE PARTS (1972) is an early example of a trailer that not only condenses the entire film, but reveals some of the climactic surprises to boot. Avoid it, if you haven't yet seen that excellent Paul Bartel film.
