. . . good news, thanks . . . I am especially looking forward to the Noir's, the Boetticher's, and THE DAMNED . . . hopefully, this fellow will be able to keep his job for as long as he wants it; this is just the guy Columbia has needed . . .

Yes, it is just what they needed. Actually Mike used to head their repertory department and now consults with Sony.

THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND - the 1951 serial. I know a chapter was included in the Katzman set, because I remember someone mentioning that here. But which set was that and has more than one chapter been featured and are there plans to release more?

Anyone?

Thanks.

I was about to get a taste of Super Robot Red Baron when I heard your cry for help, so I've leapt into action (also just finished catching up with 'The Middleman').

As far as I know there's only one Katzman set; it's the one put out by Sony that includes, THE GIANT CLAW, CREATURE WITH THE ATOM BRAIN, ZOMBIE OF MORA TAU, AND THE WEREWOLF. It's episode 2 of MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, "SINISTER SAVAGES" which is on the disc with THE GIANT CLAW and CREATURE WITH THE ATOM BRAIN under Special Features.

Don't know if we'll ever see any more of it, though I suppose some PD collection may be out there somewhere. Sony could have thrown another episode onto the Icons of Adventure set (since those are Columbia movies too), but didn't. Make what you will of that.

How many Stooges volumes are they planning to put out? The second one just came out and at the rate they're going, to put out the remaining shorts would take at least 8 or 9 more volumes. Yet it's stated in the interview that they plan to finish them off in 2009.

Are they planning to do a volume every two months or what? Any ideas? I would love it if they actually released them all.

Oh, and loved seeing a mention of Andy Clyde there.
