I had no idea Goblin's Simonetti was the son of the great keyboardist and bandleader Enrico till now...watching an early seventies variety special featuring Ornella Vanoni and her friends. One of them's Enrico, and a combo of his comments about Brazil and the spectacle of him sitting down at an enormous baroque-type pipe organ and playing jazz on it...made a light bulb go off, Like father, like son!
If you're curious, his appearance starts here at about the ten minute mark, and he's co-host throughout. This is one of the rare Italo TV varieties that's classier than it is cheesy, adult-sophisticated for the bossanova Morricone-esque crowd, and Ornella delivers some very fine performances:
