I can only hope that McCAIN is in better shape than the cut and ragged print Film Forum showed last year. Proceed with caution (TCM fumbled the ball with its print of the 1949 Western TULSA, which was such a mess I turned it off after 15 minutes. But I guess these things happen.)

RUSH HOUR 2 is part of a comprehensive June series on Asian images in American film. For that purpose it's legit.

Oh, and the channel telecast a handsomely LTXed SUGAR HILL on Friday night. Great fun. Is a Midnight Movies DVD coming?

They screened a pretty nice print of McCAIN a few years ago at the Egyptian in Hollywood ... but it belonged to Quentin Tarantino.

Word on the street is that there won't be any this year...
