Reckon they'll have the missing scene in their print of Salo this time?

Nice to see all the different narration options for the BRAND UPON THE BRAIN DVD. It would have been nice if Karen Black - whom I saw narrate it in Seattle - could have been included. :( She was wonderful.

Or Barbara Steele's narration from one of the Los Angeles performances. She was spellbinding.

For Salo they ought to include interviews with people who bought the OOP single-disc, non-anamorphic edition on Ebay for $500.

Criterion completists still want the original non-anamorphic SALO.
I've sold all my non-anamorphics that Criterion has upgraded to anamorphic and got a pretty penny for 400 BLOWS and LA BELLE ET LA BETE.

I kept my original LA BELLE ET LA BETE because I found the restoration process for lost frames (the frames just prior to and immedatiely following the missing frames are duplicated, resulting in a sudden stuttering of the image) far more distracting than the brief blackout present on the original negative. Of course I'll keep the newer edition since the extras are great and the newer subtitle translation captures subtle and poetic shades of meaning lost in the previous version. I wish they had including the fragment of the missing scene which still reportedly exists in some 16mm prints as an extra.
