Title: What is this b&w gorilla film?
Description: Clips used in THE MOVIE ORGY

I'm trying to figure out what gorilla movie these clips featured in the Movie Orgy are from....

There were a few clips the featured this gorilla in a daytime canyon-type setting. The gorilla head was darker than the rest of the costume and it seemed as if he had bonded with a small boy and was acting like his protector.

When a woman (possibly the boy's mother tried to take him away, the gorilla went nuts.) There was also a clip at the end when the boy and family leave and they wave goodbye to
the gorilla, who seems friendly enough...

Any ideas? It may have been a serial or TV show, but it feels like a movie to me...

Try this one: ZAMBA (1949), starring Jon Hall and a young Beau Bridges(!)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0042064/

I never saw it, but the description seems to match what you saw.

Thanks, Brian. That sounds like it. I thought it might be FORBIDDEN JUNGLE (1950) as it shares certain elements, but the synopsis on the IMDB doesn't quite match the ending I mentioned...

The IMDb has a list of the clips used in the film here.

...that seems to suggest that ZAMBA is indeed the film in question!

Thanks Julian. Someone must have started adding them after the screening. I should note though, that some of these are incorrect... Zamba looks like the one, though!
