Basically, this is what MASTERS OF HORROR season 3 morphed into after Showtime cancelled it. A lot of the same people are back but producer Mick Garris is gone (which might not be so bad given how bad season 2 was on a whole). The preview showcases Stuart Gordon's EATER, Brad Anderson's SPOOKED, Mary Harron's COMMUNITY, and Breck Eisner's THE SACRIFICE (hey, SAHARA showed he was a master of budgetary horrors).

Has a network ever picked up a pay cable series before? I can't recall another example.
Expectations are dialed in very low, but they are bound to have at least a solid episode or two.

CBS began running Showtime's DEXTER to fill space during the writer's strike. I think the two-hour season finale airs this Sunday.
As the character of Will Parker sings in OKLAHOMA!, "the whole thing don't sound very good to me."
Except for them getting rid of Mick Garris, the pretender at the table of masters.
