Title: Is that who I think it is in that ad?

I've seen the fanciful new TV spot for Traveler's Insurance a few times now, and I've been puzzling over the identity of the grandfatherly actor carrying the gigantic umbrella.
Damn. It was just on, and it hit me. Those wrinkles at the sides of his eyes, that slightly rat-toothed grin...
It's gotta be PAUL FREEMAN from RAIDERS!

I pointed him out to the wife when the spot came on so yeah, I believe it was him...or at least a shadowy reflection of him. Paul was in HOT FUZZ too, right?

I always liked him as the sterile husband in the 70's sleaze film WHOSE CHILD AM I? His wife ends up sleeping with other guys in the hopes of getting pregnant much to the chagrin of Paul. Paul even has a nude scene. I wonder if the film is still on his resume?

I didn't catch that but I did see the lead actress from Marty Langford's movie in a spot for Wal-Mart!

It just warmed my heart to see him working. And it made me think, "God, I'm old."

Does he swallow a bug in the commercial? That's how I can always tell if it's him.

Paul Freeman has been working pretty steadily since RAIDERS. I see him in British tv productions all the time [MONARCH OF THE GLEN, WAKING THE DEAD, MIDSOMER MURDERS, etc] and he had an extended guest shot as Alex Kingston's father on ER a few years back.

Marty - you write what everyone else is afraid to! ;)
