Title: THEM (ILS)

Lenny Moore - May 4, 2008 03:20 AM (GMT)
An excellent review of one of the creepiest films I've seen in recent days.

Arbogast on Film

Not sure another opinion will change my long held view that this is a terrible, empty piece of work with ridiculously contrived set-pieces, shoddy production values, vacuous characterization and what feels to me like contempt for it's target audience - almost as insulting as HAUTE TENSION which at least has other strengths to balance things out.

But then, that's just my opinion.

I thought HIGH TENSION was worse. It was really effective until the stupid "twist" which just ruined the entire experience for me.

Richard, your post made me pee a little. That was hilarious. Thanks for making my day.

Liar! It's mine too.

Well, apart from the HAUTE TENSION bit as I really enjoyed that movie but on ILS I think you're spot on.

Victor, out of curiosity, did you bump into H.P. Lovecraft while you were there?

RHS, I'm officially making that phrase part of my vocabulary from now on. Would that I had more opportunities to use it.

Uh, haven't seen this THEM (but I have seen that THEM... the ant one). Intend to.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.
