Just got mine in the mail today... It's sold exclusively through The Discovery Channel (discovery.com/dvd) - it's a proper, pressed DVD, with an excellent widescreen transfer.
Oh, and the site incorrectly lists the running time as 50 minutes, but in fact it's the complete 83 1/2 minute film.
The only disappointment is the lack of extras... when it was originally released on VHS, it was packaged with another VHS tape which was a making-of documentary (rare for before the days of DVD). Also, the IFC made a short (roughly half an hour) original documentary called A Brief History of Errol Morris; both of which would have made perfect companion pieces with this film.
But what the heck - I'm just happy to finally(!) have this on DVD; and like I said, it looks great!
We had a customer told us that this was available and I didn't believe him... until I saw for myself. I wonder how many more "exclusives" are hiding out there? We got a Space Ghost and 12 oz. Mouse that were adultswim.com exclusives recently.

That's a good question... would be great to compile a list of some worthy "secret" exclusives that are out there.
It's actually not the first for Errol Morris - before First Person was released on DVD, Morris' company tested the waters by releasing a single episode on disc. That episode was included in the set later, but the solo disc featured a bunch of great deleted scenes (I'd say they clearly were cut in the interests of the TV episode running time, and not for quality). I think it's already OOP and pretty rare, though.
(btw, for those who use it - I just added BHoT to DVDaf.)
