Not sure why - but this clip from BAT PUSSY made me really angry. Its so nonsensical and unfunny and, well, downright friggin' stupid that I could literally feel my blood boil...

I found this clip on a whim (while looking up cool old-school HK movie clips) from a rare 1972 surrealistic drama written/directed by its star, Christopher St. John (who, according to IMDB, played in SHAFT) titled TOP OF THE HEAP. This seems to have been his only film, which is too bad because I enjoyed this clip and wouldn't mind seeking it out:

Two scenes from the incredible, harder-to-find-than-God MUTILATIONS. Nic Cage is fantastic as the professor in the first bit:

MUTILATIONS is an amazing bad movie that feels overlong at about 65 minutes.
Brian Camp - May 27, 2008 03:46 PM (GMT)
So that's where Joe Pesci got his "You think I'm funny?" routine.

Kim, that clip is no longer accessible but I remember the film, TOP OF THE HEAP. I actually saw it twice on the big screen, once on a double bill with the awful Jerry Lewis-directed Sammy Davis Jr./Peter Lawford comedy, ONE MORE TIME, and then on a triple bill with the Robert Hooks starrer, TROUBLE MAN, and the Italian western, COMPANEROS. I remember liking TOP OF THE HEAP because it was quite a bit different from other blaxploitation films. But when I discussed the film with black friends, they picked it apart for various perceived inaccuracies, e.g. that a black cop partnered with a corrupt white cop would have had to share in the money the corrupt cop took; it would have been too risky not to. That's all I remember from that discussion. And, yes, writer/director/star Christopher St. John co-starred in SHAFT as Ben Buford, the Harlem militant who helps Shaft out.

As a blaxploitation fan myself, I liked it for the same reason - it's one of my favourites. So much so that I treasured an old pre-cert UK VHS release of it, right up until the day it finally said enough was enough and died on me. I really need to replace it - it would be nice if someone could see their way to producing a decent DVD of it (rather than the awful bootlegs which I am assuming will be out there somewhere - like every other blaxploitation film worth seeing).

Anyone ever tried this...

Local filmmakers that I was turned on to. It gets bizarre towards the end. I'm just fascinated by strange stuff like this, it kinda has the same effect on me as Damon Packard's work...
NY local filmmakers

Mae Mercer, from that SWINGING CHEERLEADERS clip with Rosanne Katon
sang a mean blues too! Another of her great 'you better not' scenes was directed at Clint Eastwood in THE BEGUILED.

To Mr. Camp and Mr. Maxwell:
I'm just now seeing your reponses--I was wondering had anybody ever seen or even remembered this flick---I saw a litle blurb about it on a black film site (can't rememer which one---might have BadAzzMofo) and decided one day to just type the title into YouTube's search box and voila, a clip appeared! I should have written this down, but there was an site address (raredvdsworldwide.com) on the side of the clip, with a paragraph saying you could order the film from that site---I'm gonna check up on that, though. I've never heard of it or seen it aywhere on video or DVD myself---talk about obscure!
Kim Greene - June 10, 2008 02:07 AM (GMT)
I double-checked--it's raredvdworldwide.com---they might have it.

I just uploaded what might be the worst dub job of all-time! No joke, this is absolutely real.
Worst dubbing job EVER!!!

This fight scene from a Cynthia Rothrock-starring Godfrey Ho movie called
Undefeatable cracks me up every time (Earlier in this thread, I posted a link to another instance of this video that got removed):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxkr4wS7XqYI loved that dubbed Thai movie clip. The Ennio Morricone music from
My Name is Nobody made it that much funnier. (Anyone have any idea which movie that is?)
Still, I'm not sure that anything beats bad anime dubbing at its worst:
Dracula Sovereign of the Damned: Disco Stud

The Thai flick is BCI's recent release HARD GUN starring Panna Rittikrai and Tony Jaa. That and the other Jaa vehicle SPIRITED KILLER are both worth seeing for their especially horrendous dub jobs.
WOW! That DRACULA dubbing is great. "Okay dude..."

MutoAnd this was my favorite short film that we showed at our festival this year. The director and star are both awesomely nice guys. It's best viewed full screen with the audio turned WAY up:
