Mobians more familiar with Spanish cinema than I am will yawn, but I was surprised and delighted to see Ana Torrent as Katherine of Aragon in THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL, a not-bad history lesson wih hot babes. :) SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE is one of my favorites, and I was pleased to see her again, looking most regal, at age 41, in Sandy Powell's excellent costumes. Katherine is the most sympathetic part in the whole sordid saga, and she does well by it, giving Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson a run for their money. Torrent has worked steadily since BEEHIVE in 1973, but I haven't been keeping up; she starred on Alejandro Amenabar's TESIS in 1996, which I may have to check out.

TESIS is an excellent, very scary, thriller about a film student, Torrent, doing her, if I remember correctly, thesis on violence in films and deals with the "urban legend" of snuff films. Fele Martinez and Eduardo Noriega also star. Great film that needs a proper R1 NTSC DVD release. I own the barebones 1.51:1 non anamorphic Vanguard films R1 NTSC DVD, but I'm sure its OOP.
Yeah, TESIS was okay, as I remember it. I reviewed it alongside THE OTHERS in Video Watchdog a bunch of years ago but to be honest with you I only really remember who the bad guy is.

Locally, it made a top ten list of historically inaccurate films along with APOCALYPTO, 10,000 B.C., BRAVEHEART and a few others.
How's the BBC version?
