Title: Filmmakers with favorite credit fonts?

Doran Gaston - March 20, 2008 01:23 AM (GMT)
Writing about Doomsday on the sci-fi/horror board led me to wonder how many directors have (or had) a favorite font to use for the credits of their movies. The only two I could think of off the top of my head were John Carpenter and Woody Allen. The Woody Allen font is Windsor-EF Elongated and I think that the Carpenter font (one of my favorites) is Albertus.

Wes Anderson and Stanley Kubrick have both been fixated on Futura, particularly Futura Bold.

I've been meaning to ask this for a while:

Anybody know the font that Tarantino has favored since PULP FICTION?

20th Century Fox films in the postwar-to-early'50s era almost always had the same font in their credits, esp. the b&w ones. Since Darryl F. Zanuck was calling the shots then, I'd credit him as a filmmaker with a favorite font.
