Title: Arthur C. Clarke, RIP
Description: co-author of Kubrick's 2001 passes away

Michael Blanton - March 18, 2008 10:35 PM (GMT)
I've just read that Arthur C. Clarke has passed away at age 90 in Sri Lanka.

Although a science fiction writer, I feel that the best of his work transcends that genre.

Feel free to move this topic to SciFi/Horror if appropriate.

The yahoo article belows notes that his death was on March 19th, 1:30 AM Sri Lankan time, since today is only the 18th here on the West Coast, He went as I always thought of him, a futurist.

RIP, Arthur

Clarke was a brilliant author. I've always enjoyed reading about the creative process between Kubrick and himself during 2001.
