Description: The Brave & The Bold on horizon

I'm disappointed; I thought it started strong and was getting better as time went by. Maybe they weren't selling enough toys or some other synergistic nonsense. Three more new episodes and that's that. Hopefully they'll be able to wrap up at least the current major 2nd season arc.

On the other hand, Batman: The Brave & The Bold has been green lighted. The Brave & The Bold is/was a comic where Batman was paired up with another DC hero. The last season or two of The Batman was testing this concept, having Batman team up with various members of the Justice League. Don't know if it's going to be in The Batman's continuity or a complete reboot.

I wish WB/ DC would make up their mind with Batman animated products. I like the idea of Batman teaming other heroes, but I'd wager if it doesn't follow The Batman's continuity, it'll take place during his early days... again. It's like they're afraid to venture too far into the Tim Drake (Robin #3 or #2 in the Timm/ Dini-verse) days.

Definitely not in The Batman's continuity. The Blue Beetle looks alright (that the newest incarnation of the Beetle, Jamie Reyes (would have been nice to have seen Ted Kord, though), but Batman and Green Arrow I'm not so sure. Maybe when I see some animation. Also of note, Batman's suit, which looks to be based off of the sixties comics and maybe tv show as well as the beardless Green Arrow suggest that this is the sixties (younger, just starting out, Green Arrow, at least) versions of these heroes. Doesn't really jibe with the version of Blue Beetle they're going with. Other heroes mentioned are Aquaman and Green Lantern (you're guess is as good as mine whether it'll be Hal, Guy, John or Kyle). Who knows what versions of the villains we'll end up with.

This has the potential to be really great, but I definitely have some reservations.

Better quality images:

Batman

Green Arrow, Batman, Blue Beetle

The character designs look a bit better at this size, though the team up of what looks like Silver Age Green Arrow, sixties tv Batman and the current Blue Beetle is odd.
