The excellent comic book, animation, and pinup artist Dave Stevens has died of leukemia.

Stevens was the creator of the comic book that the Disney film was based on (and has a cameo in the film) and also worked in the animation industry.

His artwork played a role in the resurgence of Bettie Page as a pin-up icon (there's a very interesting story about his relationship with her in the link below).
