For fans of the SCHOOLGIRL REPORT series, I feel the need to post this information. I understand if it feels like an "ad" and I apologize if this breaks any forum rules, but we've just been hit with a whammy today with our distributor regarding SCHOOLGIRL REPORT #3. If this violates any posting rules at MHVF, then feel free to delete. Just spreading the word/info if you indeed have it on order, or plan on ordering it.


SCHOOLGIRL REPORT #3: WHAT PARENTS FIND UNTHINKABLE NOW EXCLUSIVE THROUGH XPLOITED CINEMA!

Impulse Pictures is a sub-label distributed through Synapse Films. Synapse films has no control over the mastering and presentation of any of the films presented through Impulse Pictures, but we still listen to the fans. Our fans are extremely important to us. Many reviewers took the first SCHOOLGIRL REPORT release to task for not being 100% uncut, even though we were mistakenly told by the licensor that it indeed was. When we saw the claims that SGR#1 was missing footage, we went back to the licensor and demanded uncut masters of all the remaining titles in the SCHOOLGIRL REPORT series, including SGR#3. The mastering and replication on #3 had already been completed when we found out the unfortunate news, and we went to great expense to get replacement masters for SGR#3 re-authored and re-subtitled with the newly acquired uncut master.

Unfortunately our North American distributor, after receiving the new, uncut review copies of SCHOOLGIRL REPORT #3: WHAT PARENTS FIND UNTHINKABLE, has decided to drop the title because of the newly added content. They have deemed our new, uncut version of SGR#3 much too controversial. Even though our Impulse Pictures version of SGR#3 is now the most complete, uncut and longest version of the film presented on DVD ANYWHERE in the world, the sexual situations are too extreme for them to bring it to market.

Because of the sudden, unexpected news of one of our releases being dropped by our major distributor, we have made arrangements with the fine folks at XPLOITED CINEMA to bring in our entire inventory of the title and become the EXCLUSIVE distributor for SGR#3.

At this point, we are not sure how any existing orders are going to be handled, but our distributor has already removed all references to the title from their website. Seriously, though: it is one of the darker SCHOOLGIRL REPORT films. A couple of episodes involve rape and the sexual coercion of minors by adults, but I'm sure the real problem segment is the one in which a teenage girl strips off to satisfy the curiosity of a younger boy, who's also nude as he's just stepped out of a shower. It's a bit startling, particularly to American sensibilities, but there is no arousal or physical contact between the two actors (unlike, say, RAMBLING ROSE), and it shows nothing you wouldn't see at a nude beach. Needless to say, all of the actresses participating in the softcore sex scenes were older than the characters they portrayed.

Nude beaches, eh! :o That's a European phenomenon. ;)

I've just been waiting for the Christina Lindberg one, but I might just pick this up to support you guys and the solid work you always do. It helps that you are partnered with Xploited, one of the best companies in any industry. I hope that the rest of the films will still be released.
