Title: Holy cow! A 3-disc INGLORIOUS BASTARDS..
Description: Severin's big new SE...

I didn't see this one coming. Severin's site notes a new transfer, commentary, doco and the full Francesco De Masi soundtrack CD. A few editions have come out recently (including a Euro disc with a snazzy cover), but this is probably the one to get.

Especially odd (but welcome), considering this isn't exactly what Severin is known for releasing.

I know what you mean. ;)

They usually have one disc releases, occasionally a two-disc special edition like PERVERSION STORY, but a three-disc SE. That's hot! That's Sexy! That's a naughty girl, Severin! <_< I like it!

Forget that, they've got STONE!! :)

Anthony Thorne - February 13, 2008 07:20 AM (GMT)
Living in Melbourne I'm all STONE'd out. We've had docos and DVD's and streets of bikers attending premieres and an old friend of mine making another doco for SBS TV, and on and on. INGLORIOUS BASTARDS though is new to me and has naked babes with guns, a Castellari commentary, and a free Francesco De Masi CD! I'll see your STONE and raise you one INGLORIOUS BASTARDS, you bastard!

Amazing. I wonder if Quentin Tarantino's remake interest in it spurred Severin to go all out. Though oddly, I haven't seen them exploiting this angle.

That would make for some awkward ad copy.

"One of the movies Quentin Tarantino keeps talking about remaking!"

Better yet:

"See it NOW! Before Quentin Tarantino remakes it! :o"

Only it ain't a remake. Apparently. And unlike the others, it'll probably happen.
