Title: The Making of Vanity Fair's Hitchcock Portfolio
Description: Guess who's Melanie Daniels?

This isn't quite as cool as Scorsese's Key To Reserva, but it's still fun seeing many recent stars re-inacting famous Hitchcock moments in this tiny little video of behind the scenes footage for the Hitchcock portfolio in the new Vanity Fair. There's some beautiful faces here. The end credits let you know who's who. The first actress so successfully recreated Kim Novak's final moments from Vertigo that I couldn't place who it was. The recreations are a little haunting, actually.

I couldn't tell from your post, William, if you had figured out it was Rene Zellweger doing the Kim Novak bit. I liked Javier Bardem standing in for James Stewart (couldn't they find a non-Latin actor with hands as hairy?) but Jodie Foster as Tippi Hedren in THE BIRDS looks like Joan Fontaine in VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA. The bit from STRANGERS ON A TRAIN looked like a gay porn set-up.

Marion Cotillard sure is pretty, ain't she?

HQ scans of the photos from the March 2008 issue can be found here.

Kind of odd that the pic of STRANGERS ON A TRAIN is the only one in B&W.

...well, and Psycho.

I'll give Lifeboat a pass since it's reproducing the filming rather than a specific shot from the film. Was Rebecca colorized at some point? The hues in that shot have that same skewed, crayon-like look of clunkier colorizations, so I'm curious if that's a deliberate nod or not.

I didn't include PSYCHO because, well, um....its images transcend their absence of color....yeah, that's what I was thinking.

And, I'm not sure of the reasoning behind it, but there are often color publicity stills of B&W films, regardless of if the films were colorized (RAGING BULL even had some).
There's one in the photo gallery page for REBECCA at IMDB.
